Something about my college.

Placements: The placement record of IIM Indore to date is amazing. The highest LPA in history is 2 years ago, at 1 crore per annum, with usually an average LPA of 26 LPA. Taking IPM is one of the best decisions. It has a wide scope for various careers, and you can even discontinue the course after 3 years and chose any other post-graduation degree.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is one of the best perks of IIM Indore. Spanning almost 200 acres, there is a sports complex with various activities, including a swimming pool, squash court, sauna, gym, etc., two large auditoriums, many food courts, and a lot of lush greenery. The campus is very clean and peaceful.

Faculty: Each professor here has at least one Ph.D. They are friendly too, with the exception of one or two. The curriculum is very relevant to today's world. We follow a trimester system, and in each term, there are quizzes, assignments, midterms, and end-term exams. It’s sure a hustle, but it's worth it.

It ain't as good as they all say.

Placements: In the final placements of AY 2023-34, 100% of students were placed. However, the placements were not great as many top recruiters did not hire or hired in fewer numbers. IIM Indore had better placements than most IIMs like Lucknow, and others like FMS in terms of the timeline of placements, difficulty in getting everybody placed, etc. I am not sure of the exact numbers, but the highest would be 1 crore+ from a random company offering many ESOPs. Otherwise, there were good placements with 30L+. The lowest would be less than 12-13L. For IPMers, many companies do not open, but the ones that do love IPMers (or at least IPMers are more easily able to convert the shortlists they do get). Top recruiters would include BCG, AT Kearney for Consulting; JPMC, DE Shaw, O3 Capital, etc. for Finance; HUL, Asian Paints, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, etc. for Marketing. However, since I am in the 4th year of the course, my information is not the best as all Summer Internship and Final Placement companies do not overlap. Summer Internship AY 2023-24, almost 95% of students got internships through campus, and almost everyone was placed. Some opted out to get better opportunities by themselves and through their connections. Top roles offered to IPMers were BCG and ATK in consulting, JPMC, DE Shaw in finance, HUL (finance and marketing), PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, Amazon Product, etc. Again, placements for top IPMers were good, but since many companies have not opened to IPMers, some people struggled quite a lot and got internships with like a 30K stipend in startups and all.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi: Good, it has a backup line as well. Wi-Fi and storage capacity: very limited and troublesome. Throughout the course, you can only have 20GB of drive space, which is too low. Classrooms: Good. But now the program intake has increased, and they have not built new classrooms, which is why many classrooms are congested. Library: The online database is great. Sitting capacity, interiors, books, etc., are okayish and can be improved a lot when compared to IIM-A or Amity Noida, etc. Sports: Terrible. There is only an outdoor badminton court. The cricket ground is huge but not well maintained. Medical: It is world-class just for namesake. Most doctors there come to pass their time, except Anjali Ma'am. Mess: The mess is decent. Much can be improved, but at least there is variety and hygiene. Nutrition can be improved; they use subpar cooking mediums and all. The taste, like most messes, is bleh.

Faculty: I personally love the IPM curriculum. We study everything! Most faculty are nice, except the one who teaches ethics. How ironic! He repeated the past year papers in the exam and failed the students who reported him. Some other subpar faculty is there, but mostly good. Exam levels vary but are mostly good. It is a relatively grading system.

IPM Indore is the right place to be.

Placements: I would like to begin by saying that the current year has been difficult regarding placements for students across campuses. That being said, students at IIM Indore were still able to bag good opportunities, and there was continued support extended by the placement cell until the very end. The main fields of placement for summer internships for IPMers are finance and sales. Companies like BCG and Kearney do open up, but overall opportunities in consulting, operations, genman, and pure marketing are scarce and few. There are many companies that don't open up for freshmen, as is the case in any MBA college, but even with the companies that do, some still do not open up for IPM. However, as the alum base, satisfaction, and acceptance of the program exponentially increase, there are more companies that open up and especially come back for IPMers. There is definitely nothing to worry about, and I would highly recommend students apply for the course from the placement point of view.

Infrastructure: The academic block is equipped with top-class infrastructure facilities, including AC classrooms and projectors. It is located at the top of a hill, whereas the hostels for the first three years of IPM are located at the bottom. It is a daily struggle for IPMers to trudge up the much-dreaded "slope." Even though the hostel rooms are equipped with good facilities—ample storage, comfortable single beds, and shared bathrooms (one between eight students)—the new system of four sharing rooms makes the space very cramped and definitely needs to be changed. Wi-Fi and LAN facilities are available in all rooms; however, it is highly recommended to switch to an Airtel Sim for a good network, as other providers don't work that well. The mess food is decent but gets boring very quickly; the quality fluctuates heavily. There are, however, other eating options run by external vendors present on campus. Other extra-curricular facilities are amazing as well: two well-equipped gyms, an Olympic-size pool, volleyball, badminton, and basketball courts, and a cricket stadium.

Faculty: The faculty at IIM Indore is one of the best across campuses. Their role in shaping the students goes beyond the prescribed coursework, as they provide unwavering support and guidance in research and case competitions as well. The course curriculum is an excellent blend of economics, mathematics, humanities, social sciences, and even some elements of law, accounting, and computer science! It ensures that the student is equipped to handle conversations on any and every topic and has a broad understanding of a huge variety of courses. Each course includes various components of evaluation, including class participation, individual and group projects, quizzes, mid-term, and end-term exams. It follows a relatively rigid grading structure and is overall designed to be very hectic and high on peer learning.

Other: I would never stop recommending the program to future aspirants, as it has been pivotal in shaping me into a confident, well-groomed working professional. The high quality of peers motivates you to stay on your toes right from the very beginning and exposes you to a gamut of opportunities that one could otherwise be oblivious to.

Placements: Since the placements of IPM happen along with PGP (MBA), I have taken the combined data in consideration. 100% of students were placed from the 2020-22 batch. The highest Package - 49 LPA, Median Package- 25.01 LPA, Average Package- 24.09 LPA Top Recruiting companies - 1) Consulting - BCG, Deloitte, Brain and Company, KPMG, Accenture 2) Finance - Barclays, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, Morgan Stanley 3) Marketing and Sales - Aditya Birla, Asian Paints, Samsung 4) Operations and HR - Axis Bank, Capegemini, Mahindra, Reliance Summer placement - Data not disclosed Roles offered -1) Consulting 2) Finance 3) HR 4) Sales and Marketing 5) General Management and Operations.

Infrastructure: IIM Indore has a 193 acre large campus comprising of 18 student residences, faculty residence, academic block, library, 3 mess, 2 gymnasium, 2 sports stadiums and countless gardens with the most exotic flowers. Internet connectivity is decent inside the campus. However, network speed is comparatively lower inside the hostels. The classrooms are large and spacious consisting of whiteboards, smartboards, projectors, internet and air conditioning. The library is the serenest place in the campus where once can study, meditate or even watch movies and play video games taking advantage of free Wi-Fi. The hostels have functional architecture with beds, personal almirahs, lights, fans and hygienic washrooms. Mess food is a lot better than other colleges. The canteen too, offers a decent variety of food options whilst being slightly expensive. The medical center is open 24X7 with 2 ambulances ready to pick you up from any corner of the campus in case of an emergency. Students can play different sports like cricket, football, squash, tennis, volleyball and basketball. Indoor sports like table tennis, badminton, chess and carrom also SEE enthusiastic participation inside the common room of the hostels.

Faculty: The college boasts of world class and highly qualified academic faculty who have to consistently undertake research and publish papers as a part of professional requirement. They are patient and are mindful of the diverse academic background of the batch while delivering lectures. The course curriculum is diverse with a host of subjects ranging from Statistics and Calculus to Philosophy and Psychology being taught. The last two years of the programme make students industry ready through adoption of the unique case study method of teaching. The exams however are very frequent since Iims follow a trimester system with an average of one exam every 4 days. The grading system is highly competitive owing to relative grading. Pass percentage is round 90 % at the end of 3 years.

Other: I chose this course for its diverse curriculum and excellent peers. Best thing about the course is its industry relevance and high package and placements. Three major fests: Atharv, Ranbhoomi and IRIS.

IPM review at IIM Indore.

Placements: Placements are above average with average package being 25 Lacs pa and median salary being 24 Lacs pa. Every year the average salary keeps increasing and the quality of placements keeps getting better and better. IPM batch has average salary around 25 LPA.

Infrastructure: In the staying hostels, one can find LAN, Wi-Fi, clean bathroom, shoe cupboard, a wooden cupboard and a mirror in the washroom. Quality of mess is above average, the facilities like gym, sports complex and swimming pool is world class and medical facilities are good here.

Faculty: The teachers are extremely qualified here and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also world-class. The semester exams are not too difficult but above average. This course makes students industry ready as it does overall development of an individual.

Placements: Around 100% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 1 crore per annum. The average salary package offered varies between 24 LPA - 25 LPA. The top recruiting companies are BCG, Black Rock, and TCS. Many students got internships in this course. The top roles are offered in management domains.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. Classrooms are well-maintained. There are no air-conditioners in our hostels. The food served in the mess is good. They also provide breakfast. Medical facilities are good. You can also call an ambulance at your hostel. The canteen is spacious.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. The teaching quality is very good for the core subjects. The course curriculum is relevant to make students ready for the industry. Semester exams are very good in this college. There is a system of relative grading so few students get D grades. Academically, this college is hectic.
