IIM Shillong IPM Admissions 2026-31: Application Form (Soon), Know the IPM Admission & Application Process, Fee

In order to gain admission to IIMs which accept IPMAT scores, candidates who appeared for IPMAT exam will be required to match the cutoff criteria after the IPMAT results are announced. The first phase of the IPM admissions includes registering for the IPMAT exam by filling out the IPMAT application form online and then appearing for the IPMAT exam. The IPMAT exam is conducted in the computer-based test mode and the students have to visit the exam centre to take the exam. Once the exam is over, IIM Indore, the exam conducting authority, will release the IPMAT results and cutoff. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their scores by using their login credentials and check if they match the cutoff criteria announced by the IIM. If the candidates match the cut-off criteria for their category, then the students will have to register themselves for the counselling process at the institutes which accept IPMAT scores. Then the students will be called for the further selection process which includes Written Ability Test and Personal Interview. 

Yes, candidates belonging to the reserved categories can avail a fee concession. They will be required to present the caste/category certificate during the registration process to avail the concession. IPMAT application fees can be paid online only. The IPMAT application/registration forms will be available online only on the official website of Indian Institute of Management, Indore. The students who wish to appear for the IPMAT exam, have to fill out the IPMAT application form online along with paying the online application fee. In other words, IPMAT application process is completely online and there is no provision of offline application. Candidates who wish to appear for the IPMAT exam must follow the steps mentioned below to know how to register for the IPMAT exam and log in to the IIM Indore website:

• Visit the official website of IIM Indore

• Click on the registration link for IPMAT 2026

• The candidate needs to generate a User ID and password using details such as name of the candidate, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, etc. 

• This User ID and password will also be sent to the candidate through registered email and SMS

• Next, the candidate needs to re-login using the credentials

• The next step is to enter the required details in the IPMAT application form. Candidates must ensure that they enter the correct details as the same cannot be changed later

• Pay the registration fee through a Credit/Debit Card or internet Banking

• Candidates belonging to reserved categories need to submit valid and attested certificates supporting their reservation category 

IPMAT Indore application form 2026 is expected to be released in the second week of February 2026. The registration window will likely be open for approximately a month. The registration process usually completes by the end of March. The IPMAT 2026 exam will be conducted on May 4, 2026. 

The IPMAT application process begins with the IPMAT registration and application fee payment. Candidates need to submit their IPMAT application form before the deadline. Candidates will have to choose their preferred institutes as well as test centres while filling out the IPMAT application form. The complete IPMAT Indore exam dates 2026 will be announced on the official IIM Indore website. The participating institutes will also release the application dates on their official websites.

IPMAT registration fee can be paid only online. There is no provision of paying the application fee offline. Candidates need to pay the application fee online in order to complete the IPMAT application form. The candidates applying for the IPMAT exam must note that the IPMAT application process is completely online from filling the IPMAT application form till paying the application fee. There is no offline communication. The application fee for IPMAT is INR 4130. The application fee for IPMAT can only be paid online using a credit card, debit card, internet banking or UPI. Students belonging to the reserved category are eligible to avail a fee concession. The IPMAT application fee for reserved category students is INR 2065.

There is a set limit to upload a photograph and digital signatures in the IPMAT registration form. The size of the file should be between the prescribed size. Also, the dimensions of the image uploaded should match the ones mentioned in the instructions. If the documents are not in the prescribed format then the application form can be rejected. Candidates must note that there is a very small form correction window in the IPMAT application process, hence they must carefully fill the application form and upload clear scanned copies of the documents.
