IPMAT 2026 Exam Dates (OUT): Get IIM Indore IPMAT Application & Exam Schedule

IPMAT Indore application form 2026 will be released on February 2, 2026. Registration window will be open for approximately a month. It will be completed by March 14, 2026. IPMAT 2026 exam will be conducted on May 4, 2026.

The IPMAT admission process is completely online and the schedule will also be announced online on the official website. The IPMAT 2026 exam will be conducted in one shift only (afternoon shift) like every year. Yes, there is maximum age limit to appear for the IPMAT exam. The students appearing for the IPMAT exam must be a maximum of 20 years of age as of July 31, of the given year. The IPMAT exam is open to students who have recently passed Class 12 or are still awating the Class 12 results. IPMAT is conducted by IIM Indore and is accepted by some of the top institutes such as IIM Indore, IIFT, Nirma University, IIM Ranchi, Alliance University, NICMAR and NALSAR University. Any candidate who has scored a minimum of 60% aggregate in Class 10/SSC and Class 12/ HSC or equivalent examination in the case of the General and NC-OBC categories is eligible to apply for the IPMAT exam. 

Candidates who wish to appear for IPMAT exam must follow process mentioned below to know how to register for exam and log in to IIM Indore website:

• Go to website of IIM Indore

• Click on registration link for IPMAT 2026

• Candidate needs to generate a User ID and password using details such as name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, etc. 

• This User ID and password will also be sent to candidate through registered email and SMS

• Next, the candidate needs to relogin using login details

• Pay registration fee through a Credit or Debit Card or internet Banking

• Candidates belonging to reserved categories need to submit valid and attested certificates supporting their reservation category 

Every candidate must carry a simple blue/black ball point pen and a two copies of their passport size photo to the IPMAT exam centre. They must not carry any stationary item other than the pen. Ever since the COVID-19 outbreak, IPMAT candidates are required to carry drinking water, hand sanitizer, face mask and gloves along with them. They have to carry drinking water in a transparent bottle. No other item will be allowed inside the exam venue. They also must not carry bags or valuables as there will be no arrangement for depositing while candidates appear for the exam. Candidates must also not carry notebooks or rough paper to the IPMAT exam centre. Any candidate found with an unauthorised item will be disqualified.

IPMAT 2026 admit card will likely be released in the third week of April 2026. To download:

2. Click on the download IPMAT admit card/ hall ticket button on the admission page of IPM
3. Enter the application number and password
4. Click on Submit button
5. Click on the link to download the admit card and download the same.

 Take a print out of the IPMAT admit card as this is an important document which is to be carried to the IPMAT exam centre.

IPMAT result 2026 is expected to be released in the first week of June 2026. Scorecard for IPMAT exam will be available on the IIM Indore website. The IPMAT result card will be available on the official website only and the candidates will be able to check their result using their login details. The exam will be conducted on May 4, 2026.

IPMAT counselling is held for students who have cleared IPMAT exam and have been shortlisted for PI. They should have:

• Qualify IPMAT exam
• Complete Class 10 and 12 from a recognised board
• All nationality students can apply for IPMAT counselling
• Students should have all documents required for verification round proving their eligibility

Candidates need these documents for IPMAT counselling:

• Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets
• Passing certificates
• Category certificate

IIM Indore selects candidates for the integrated programme in management based on IPMAT scores and a Personal Interview round. Mentioned below are the selection parameters:

Medium of IPMAT question paper is English. Paper structure of IPMAT exam is:

• IPMAT exam will be conducted in CBT test mode
• Duration of exam is 120 minutes
• IPM exam has MCQs and short answer type questions as well
• Each question carries four marks and one mark is deducted for incorrect answers
• There are three sections, Verbal Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, MCQ, Quantitative Aptitude, SA.
• Total number of questions can be between 90 and 100.
