Candidates need to appear for IPMAT to get admission to the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) of IIM Ranchi.
The selection for the Integrated IPM at IIM Ranchi will rely on the Aptitude Test [IPMAT-Indore], Personal Interview (PI), and the academic background of candidates. The PI will be conducted by IIM Ranchi.
To be considered for the IPM programme at IIM Ranchi, all applicants must complete an online application form on the IIM Ranchi website, which will be utilized for additional assessment.

Candidates have to wait for IIM Ranchi MBA CAT cutoff. Those who clear it become eligible for further scanning process. The candidates may have to visit the website and provide CATID (application sequence number), date of birth, and registered email as per CAT application. For admission to MBA (or PGP) 2024 batch at IIM Ranchi, the CAT test was conducted on November 26, 2023. Aspirants of IIM Ranchi are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam 2023 will be held in three slots:
Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM
Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM

Earlier, the CAT exam used to be of 180 minutes with 100 questions but in 2020, both exam duration and number of questions were reduced due to COVID-19 pandemic. Now, starting CAT 2022, the total number of questions stands at 66 as part of CAT pattern.

- To improve your vocabulary and grammar, be sure to read the newspaper for at least 45 minutes daily.
- Start your preparation by allotting a specific amount of time to each topic and finishing them all on time.
- Additionally, frequently practise as many questions from last year's papers.
IPMAT Study Plan for Logical Reasoning -
- Prepare in advance.
- Make sure to allot at least 1-2 hours for the logical reasoning section if you're taking the IPM Rohtak exam.
- You can improve your logical abilities by answering daily reasoning-based puzzle-related questions.
- To increase your time management and exam speed, try to solve at least one previous year's question paper per week.
IPMAT Study Plan for Quantitative Aptitude -

The interview process of IIM Ranchi is held under CAP (common admission process). Candidates who qualify for CAT are further invited to the personal interview round. The PI is conducted virtually and exact dates and information for the same is communicated to the shortlisted candidates in due course. The personal interview round is conducted to assess the candidate's leadership skills, subject knowledge, problem-solving skills and communication abilities.
To be eligible for admission in IPM of IIM Ranchi, candidates must have passed Class 12 and Class 10 with minimum 60% aggregate for General & 55% for SC/ST/PwD.
Additionally, from 2023 and onwards IIM Ranchi will only be accepting IPMAT score for admission.

Yes, IIM Ranchi is included in CAP calls. IIM CAP is a common admission process for nine new IIM’S. The coordinator for CAP 2023 was IIM Udaipur. Once the candidates achieve the necessary CAT percentile, the shortlisted candidates will be notified of the specific dates for their Personal Interview rounds.
