IIT Bhilai offers a four-year full-time BTech programme which is its flagship programme. The institute offers a BTech programme across six specialisations. Given below are the six BTech specialisations offered at IIT Bhilai:

IIT Bhilai offers a full-time residential course of  BTech. The programme is offered in six popular specialisations. These are:

The NTA will administer the JEE Main 2026 test in two sessions. JEE Main 2026 application form session 1 is now available. Because the exam will be given twice, the NTA will issue a different application form for the April sessions. According to the timetable, the Joint Entrance Main Exam 2026 will be held in two sessions: JEE Main 2026 Session 1 will be held between January 21 to 30, 2026 and JEE Main Session 2 Exam 2026 will be held between April 2 - April 9, 2026.

The last date for the GATE 2024 registration was October 20 with late fees. The last date for GATE 2024 registration without late fees was October 12. GATE 2024 application form was available online on the IISc Bangalore official website. GATE 2024 registration link is gate2024.iisc.ac.in. The registration window opened on August 30, 2023. Candidates can apply for the GATE exam until the last date. Before filling out the GATE application form, it is advisable for the candidates to check the eligibility criteria. In case a candidate fails to fulfill any of the GATE exam eligibility conditions, then his or her candidature will be cancelled and he or she will not be able to download his or her GATE admit card for 2024. After getting a PG degree in MTech, students can become Electronics and Communication Engineer, Researcher, Production Engineer, etc. Candidates with a M.Tech degree can easily get a job in almost all the sectors in India. IIT Bhilai JEE Advanced cutoff 2025 was released for admission to the various BTech course specialisations. The cutoff was released for all rounds for the students under the All India quota. 

For the General AI category, the closing rank was 7382 in the last round. On the other hand, for the OBC AI category, the last round cutoff rank was 2832. Comparing both these ranks, we can see that the competition for the General AI category is lower in the last round than the OBC AI category.

Among all the BTech specialisations, BTech in CSE is the most competitive specialisation. To apply for admission at IIT Bhilai, candidates must apply through the official website of respective accepting entrance exams and fill out the application form in online mode. IIT Bhilai admission to most of the courses is entrance-based. Further, for admission to PhD course, candidates must apply on the official website of IIT Bhilai. 

Note: For MTech, the qualifying candidates have to further apply for COAP and then apply on the official website of IIT Bhilai to proceed to confirm their admission. The Application fee of 100 INR is applicable for SC/ST/PwD/female candidates and 200 INR is applicable for other candidates.

IIT Bhilai is considered a competitive institution, but generally less so than the older, more established IITs, making it a relatively good option for those who aim for a good Engineering education but may not have the highest JEE Advanced rank. The cutoff ranks for IIT Bhilai have varied over the years, but generally, the closing ranks for the general category in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) have been around the 5,000-6,000 range. Therefore, once an applicant fulfills IIT Bhilai admission requirements i.e., competitive grades, standardised test scores, technical language requirements as well as relevant documents, they are most likely to secure an admission in the institute.
