- The GATE COAP 2026 Round 8 seat allotment results for admission to the ME/MTech course have been released. Students can accept and freeze or reject the allotted seat until Jul 1, 2026.
- The JoSAA 2026 round 2 seat allotment result will be declared for IIT Goa admission to the BE/BTech course on Jun 30, 2026.
- The IIT JAM 2026 fourth admission list has been declared for admission to the MSc course. Students can pay the seat booking fee online till Jun 30, 2026.

In addition to the course fee, candidates are also required to pay the application fee while JEE registration. The same for BTech at IIT Goa through JEE Main official website is INR 1,000 for boys and for girls (of General/ Gen-EWS/ OBC (NCL categories), it is INR 800.
IIT Goa MTech fee is a cumulative of multiple components such as tuition fee, hostel fee, library fee, security deposit, etc. Some of the components are one-time chargeable, while some have to be paid annually/half-yearly. Merit-cum-Means scholarship is offered to non-SC/ST students at IIT Goa. This scholarship is available for BTech programme students and is awarded to a maximum of 25% of the sanctioned intake of undergraduate students. Aspirants who have completed a master's degree in Science/ Engineering/ Technology or equivalent with at least 60% aggregate or CPI 6/ 10 or equivalent (55% aggregate or CPI 5.5/10 for SC/ ST) with a minimum of two-years of work experience at the time of application are eligible to apply for part-time PhD programme.
Candidates who have completed bachelor's degree or master's degree in Science/ Engineering/ Technology at least 60% aggregate or CPI 6/ 10 or equivalent (55% aggregate or CPI 5.5/10 for SC/ ST) can also apply. Aspirants need to have a four-year of experience after bachelor's degree and one-year experience after master's degree.
IIT Goa applications usually open in second week of June every year. The applications closes by the end of June. The institute also conducts a written test followed by interview to shortlist aspirants for the PhD programme. Aspirants with a valid score in GATE, UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, etc. can also apply for the PhD course.

The cutoff trend for BTech at IIT Goa has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for BTech under General category for all India quota was 5756. In 2022, it decreased to 5555. No, you cannot get admission to IIT Goa with a rank of 2267 in the IIT JAM exam. As per the IIT Goa cutoff 2026, the round three closing ranks ranged from 775 to 792 for the General AI category. Hence, admission to this college with the attained rank is not possible.

As per the JEE Advanced cutoff 2026 for Round 1, the IIT Jammu CSE cutoff was 6738 for General AI category students. For IIT Goa and IIT Bhilai, the first-round closing ranks for the same specialisations were 6448 and 7981, respectively. So, comparing the cutoff ranks, IIT Jammu has a lenient cutoff
