IIT Goa offers a four-year BTech programme across four specialisations. Admisison to all these BTech courses at all IITs is subject to a valid score in JEE Main and JEE Advanced. All BTech specialisations available at IIT Goa along with their seat intake are mentioned below:

IIT Goa applications usually open in second week of June every year. The applications closes by the end of June. The institute also conducts a written test followed by interview to shortlist aspirants for the PhD programme. Aspirants with a valid score in GATE, UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, etc. can also apply for the PhD course.
Aspirants who have completed a master's degree in Science/ Engineering/ Technology or equivalent with at least 60% aggregate or CPI 6/ 10 or equivalent (55% aggregate or CPI 5.5/10 for SC/ ST) with a minimum of two-years of work experience at the time of application are eligible to apply for part-time PhD programme.
Candidates who have completed bachelor's degree or master's degree in Science/ Engineering/ Technology at least 60% aggregate or CPI 6/ 10 or equivalent (55% aggregate or CPI 5.5/10 for SC/ ST) can also apply. Aspirants need to have a four-year of experience after bachelor's degree and one-year experience after master's degree.
IIT Goa CSE cutoff 2026 for the EWS AI category ranged from 896 (CSE) to 2135 (Mechanical Engineering). Hence, candidates who want admission at this institution by the last round need to attain a rank of at least 2135 or below. The lower the rank, the better.
The IIT Goa JEE Advanced cutoff 2026 was published for the till round 5 for different categories under the AI quota. Students who gave the JEE Advanced exam have to also appear for the JoSAA counselling process to be considered eligible for a seat in any of the BTech courses.

- GATE 2027 exam will be held from Feb 6 to Feb 7, 2027; Feb 13 to Feb 14, 2027; and Feb 20 to Feb 21, 2027.

Students from the NER (North-Eastern Region) studying a first-year UG degree with a parental income under INR 4.50 Lacs are eligible for the 80000 scholarship. This scholarship goes by the name 'IshanUday Special Scholarship Scheme'. Eligible candidates can go to the official NSP portal to apply for this one. As per UGC guidelines, IIT Goa accepts this scholarship. The benifts are:
- INR 7,800 to INR 10,000 per month for a period of 10 months in a year.
- Covers entire 4-year duration programme, like BTech.
Candidates applying for PhD course at IIT Goa have to pay a non-refundable application fee of INR 200. There is a relaxation in the application fee for SC/ ST/ PwD/ EWS/ female candidates. The fee for such aspirants is INR 200. Aspirants need to pay the application fee via any of the online payment modes.

IIT Goa permanent campus is yet to have a fixed completion date but construction is in motion. The new land of 4.65 Lacs square metres was recently transfered around Jul 18, 2026, hence completion will take time to be completed.
