The application fee for MS by Research/ PhD is INR 200 and INR 100 for General/ EWS/ OBC/ OBC (NCL)/ Transgender/ Foreign Nationals and Women/ SC/ ST/ PD, respectively. JEE application fee for boys is INR 1,000, INR 800 for girls, and INR 500 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender category students. Candidates need to apply through the application window of the course-specific entrance exam. Candidates seeking admission to PhD or MA can apply directly on the IIT Mandi official website (iitmandi.ac.in). The application process for some of the popular courses is further as follows:
- For BTech, candidates must register on the official websites of the National Testing Agency (nta.ac.in). Then, candidates must apply for JEE Main and JEE Advanced, followed by JoSAA counselling for BTech courses.
- For M.Tech courses, candidates must register on the official websites of GOAPS (gate.iitk.ac.in).
IIT Mandi course admissions are entrance-based. Those seeking admission to BTech and MTech must register for JEE Main/ JEE Advanced/ GATE/ IIT JAM respectively. Also, each course has its eligibility criteria and it is compulsory to fulfil these criteria.
IIT Mandi offers admission to BTech is based on JEE Main exam score. To get admission candidates are required to apply on the offlicial website of JEE Main. The NTA will release the JEE Main application form 2025 tentatively in November. The exact JEE Main 2025 registration date will be notified soon. As the JEE Mains 2025 exam will be conducted in two sessions, NTA will release separate application forms for both January and April session.
The total seats available across varied courses (excluding MA, PhD, and Certificate) sums up to nearly 666. Seat allotment for each course is carried out in accordance with the seat intake. Moreover, statutory and legally mandated reservations will be followed as per Government of India orders from time to time.
