College is very good with the IIT tag.
Placements: Currently, I am in the 2nd semester, but as per the seniors' advice, the placement cell is not so good here. Only a few students from the very first batch got internships, and also at a very low package. I do not have the correct data on how many students get placed, but it is not too many.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. Hostels are also good and well-maintained. The mess food is above average and not so good. We would not feel bad on campus because there are so many sports to play, indoors or outdoors, and of course, I must say that it's not enough.
Faculty: The subjects taught here are very good. However, the way they teach is a little boring and not very good. If they bring experienced faculty members, then it will have a greater impact, but now they bring new faculty members, who I think have just completed their course.

I am very satisfied with the infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: About 75% of the students were placed in our course. The highest package was 15 lacs, the average package was 7 lacs, and the lowest package was 4.5 lacs. The top recruiters were TCS, Mahindra, etc. About 40% of the students also got internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities available for our course are very good. The classrooms and labs are modified and well-maintained. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is average. The hostel rooms are comfortable and clean. Multiple sports and medical facilities are available in our college.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable and experienced. They are not helpful enough, and they become angry if doubts are asked repeatedly. The teaching quality is average. Our course is curriculum-relevant, and many activities happen every month. The semester exams are quite difficult.

Campus is clean and peaceful. Faculty members are helpful. Placement ratio is too good.
Placements: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna has a strong and consistently improving placement record, attracting a wide range of companies and offering competitive salary packages. The placement data varies by programs (B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Sc., M.Sc).
Infrastructure: IIT Patna is located on its permanent campus in Bihta. It has a well-developed infrastructure for both academic pursuits and student residential life. The institute has a central lecture hall and a tutorial building. Each department has well-equipped and fully functioning research and teaching laboratories.
Faculty: IIT Patna has highly qualified and experienced faculty members. A significant number of professors have Ph.D. The course curriculum is regularly updated to meet industry demands. Exams are challenging, as is expected from an IIT. They are designed to test students in depth.

I'm absolutely satisfied because of the faculty and good placements in 2024.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in this course is about 33%. The students of this course got the highest package of 25 LPA and the lowest package of 9 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Intel, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Samsung, Wipro, Cisco, Nvidia, Siemens, and AMD. Government organizations like DRDO, ISRO, BHEL, and BEL also actively recruit ECE graduates. 70% of students got an internship in these companies. Top roles offered are electronics design engineer, embedded systems engineer, VLSI design engineer, telecom network engineer, and various positions in research and development, software analysis, and networking.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is well-planned and developed. The whole campus is covered with Wi-Fi, and the classrooms have smart boards. The labs are updated with the latest technology, computers, and have an Apple lab. The food available in the mess and canteen is freshly prepared and delivered with proper packaging. The campus also has medical facilities and organizes an annual sports meet.
Faculty: The teachers are supportive and qualified. The teaching quality is also good. The course curriculum is also relevant and makes the students ready to work in companies and industries. The semester exams are easy to pass, and the pass percentage is 40% in each subject.
Other: I joined this course because I want to develop my technical, programming, and soft skills. This course will improve my electrical and communication abilities. The campus organizes events such as freshers', farewell, and other cultural events. The students are also sponsored with a scholarship according to their marks in the 12th standard.

Placements check, coding check, no physics, no chemistry. Just maths for the first semester.
Placements: I am currently studying a BS course in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. It is my first year. The classes have not started yet, but I've attended the orientation. They'd also invited the first-year and second-year students to tell about their experience. Placements are good, of course, because it's IIT.
Infrastructure: I'd better not say because I've not visited it yet, but according to my friends who study there, they said it's not that good because it's a government college, so I can say it is average. The hostel facilities need some improvement; we are both invited to all the fests and extracurricular activities.
Faculty: 75% attendance is compulsory. The difficulty level is like the other B. Teaching courses requires dedication and interest in coding and stuff. Weekly quizzes and assignments are taken regularly. I would not suggest you take any tough course like B.Teach or something with it. Be it a standalone course, it will show you results.
Other: The fests are amazing. Every year, there are at least 1 or 2 fests. Every 6 months, 15 to 20 days of campus immersion take place. We can also participate in all the sports and activities.

About IIT Patna BS/B.Sc in computer science department.
Placements: IIT Patna launched the B.Sc. (Hons). In computer science and data analytics (CSDA) recently, so it's a relatively new course. The first batch graduated in 2024, which means full-fledged placement data is still limited. However, based on student reviews and the institute's overall placement performance, the outlook is very positive. CSDA course is supported by IIT Patna's central placement cell, which is the same team handling B.Tech CSE placements. The eligibility for campus placements begins after the sixth semester. According to students from the first batch, about 80-96% of eligible students received placements or internships. IIT Patna has placement cell for B.Sc. students.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good as other IITs. It has 516 acres and a big campus but BS students can't get hostel facilities. If you want hostel facility, you can contact IIT administration, they can allot you a hostel with all facilities like gymkhana, mess, and sports. But hostel fee for BS students is very high 14000/- month. It has speed of Wi-Fi, water purifiers, and regular cleaning.
Faculty: IIT Patna's faculty members are very helpful. They will support you and give placement and internship trips. College life at IIT Patna as a B.Sc. CSDA student is a unique mixture of academic rigour, opportunities, and personal growth. The course is relatively new.
Other: Our campus is not too much crowded but campus life is good like other IITs.

For the General AI quota, the IIT Ropar CSE cutoff 2025 ranged between 2357 and 2512. For IIT Patna, the cutoff range was between 3215 and 3377.
