- The JEE Advanced 2026 application form is expected to be released in April 2026, and the examination will be conducted on May 17, 2026.
- The JEE Main 2026 registration for session 2 has closed for IIT Patna admission to BTech, BArch and BPlan courses. The session 2 exams will be conducted from Apr 2 to Apr 9, 2026.
- The IIT JAM 2026 result has been announced for admission to the MSc course. Students can expect the IIT JAM 2026 counselling to start in Apr 2026.

No, there is no provision of a student studying free at IIT Patna as per the official website. However, IIT Patna provides a range of Merit-Cum-Means scholarships to meritorious and needy students. Objective: The scheme aims at recognizing and promoting quality education amongst students belonging to SCs, by providing full financial support. The scheme will cover SC students for pursuing studies beyond 12th class.
Eligibility:
-SC students having total annual family income from all sources up to Rs. 6.00 lakh and having secured admission in a full-time course in any of the notified institutions according to the general selection criteria prescribed by the concerned institution, will be eligible for scholarship under the Scheme to the extent of the number of scholarships (slots) allocated to the institution for the course.
-The benefit of the Scheme will not be provided to more than 2 siblings in a family. The student will submit an affidavit in the Institution to certify that he/she is not the third sibling of the family who is availing benefit under the scheme

No, the GATE registrations for IIT Patna 2026 MSc admissions are no longer open. The GATE registrations were closed in the month of November 2025. The GATE is scheduled to take place in the month of February 2026. Candidates who failed to register for the GATE are required to wait for the GATE 2027
