IIMC Delhi offers admission to MA programme based on CUET-PG scores. The institute gives 85% weightage to the entrance-exam. Selected candidates are further called for a personal interview round. 15% weightage is given to PI round conducted by the institute. IIMC Delhi PG Diploma admission is based on CUET-PG score. Shortlisted candidates further have to go through a centralised counselling process. After the provisional admission during counselling, a centralised registration process is carried out by IIMC Delhi for document verification. In this round, the selected students have to present a printout of the NIC form filled during counselling with the ink signature of their parents for final admission.

For admission to a IIMC New Delhi PG Diploma course, candidate should have passed bachelor's degree programme from a recognised university. Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Aizawl offers only two post-graduate courses, namely Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism English and Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Media. At present, the temporary IIMC, Aizawl campus is located inside the campus of Aizawl University. However, The duration of both Post Graduation Diploma courses is one year.

For the PG Diploma courses, CUET-PG is accepted. However, the institute may admit students through its own entrance test. The syllabus of the entrance exam for Journalism courses (Hindi, English and Urdu) comprises questions from General Awareness, Aptitude and Mental Makeup, Language Capability, Analytical and Comprehension Skills, Ethics & Values, and Sensitivity to social issues.

The NTA Score of CUET (PG) 2024 would be valid for admission to the academic year 2024-25 only. Scores and candidate data would be shared with the University where he/she has applied. The Score Card will contain separate scores for Part I General papers (25 questions) and Part II Domain Knowledge (75 questions) for each course wherever applicable). The University can draw the merit list based on the total score or only on the score achieved in Part II the Domain Knowledge Section.
