 Machine Design, Digital Communication, and Computer Science & Engineering are the M.Tech specialisations offered at IIST Indore. The psotgraduate-level course is a two-year course offered in a full-time mode. Eligibility Criteria: Bachelor's degree in engineering field from a recognised University with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category).

In order to be considered for admission, candidates need to have graduated with at least a 50%. GATE is a national-level examination that aims to evaluate the knowledge and aptitude of candidates in preparation for admission to engineering and management programmes. GATE Application Process 2025 began on August 28, 2024. Earlier, the deadline for registering for the GATE was October 3, 2024 (without late fees). However, The last date to fill the application form was extended with late fees till October 11, 2024. Candidates were able to fill out the GATE Application Form 2025 by visiting the official website; i.e. gate2025.iitr.ac.in. 

The GATE 2025 application fee during the extended application window is INR 1,400 for female, SC, ST and PwD category candidates. For all others, the fee is INR 2,300. Applicants can register for up to two test papers.Candidates who wish to apply for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering can do by applying at the official website.
