IIST Indore BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2025
IIST Indore BTech is a four-year regular full-time course. The postgraduate-level course is offered across ten specialisations including Chemical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Civil Engineering, Information Technology, etc. The institute also offers lateral-entry admission to the BTech course from the second year.
BTech seats are offered as per the admission process of the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh. IIST Indore BTech admission is based on the last qualifying exam, the JEE Main score, and counseling process of DTE. IIST conducts admission selection rounds in three phases for students with/without JEE Main score, and students who couldn't participate in the online counseling process of DTE MP. The BTech qualification for admisson is as follows:
Eligibility Criteria: Class 12 or its equivalent with a minimum 45% percentage (40% for the SC/ST/OBC students) in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

Candidates can pay the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) Indore course fee annually or semester-wise. IIST Indore BTech Admission 2025: How to Apply?
IIST Indore BTech admission process is as per the online process of the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Applicants must qualify for all the selection parameters to secure admission to the BTech course. Firstly, they must submit their application and proceed further. Before applying have a basic knowledge of the BTech programme. The step-wise details around the complete admission process for Indore Institute of Science and Technology admission 2025 for BTech are mentioned below:
Step 1: IIST Indore BTech Application Process
Step 1.1: Candidates seeking admission should register through the online admission portal available at the IIST website.
Step 1.2: Upon successfully submitting all the relevant details, applicants must download and take the printout of the generated “Bank Challan” to remit the required application fee.
Step 1.3: Applicants should submit the fee to the bank with the help of “Challan” and obtain the transaction details.
Step 1.4: Enter the bank transaction details using the applicant’s login and upload the receipt of the bank challan to complete the registration process.
Step 1.5: Candidates who are willing to appear in GATE 2019, need to pay the application fees of INR 1500 for General/ OBC Male students and INR 750 for the rest to complete their application.
Step 2: Selection Process
IIST Indore BTech selection procedure includes a counselling process. Candidates must participate in the counseling process to be eligible for final admission. Admission to UG courses will be done based on JEE Main and GATE scores respectively. Lateral admissions will be done based on the marks obtained in the Diploma. Candidates who have cleared the entrance exam have to apply for centralized counseling conducted by DTE Madhya Pradesh. During the counseling, the candidate needs to lock the choice of course and college in a preferential order. DTE MP will allocate the colleges and courses according to students’ choices.
Step 3: Merit Lists
Once the counselling rounds are over, IIST Indore will release the final merit lists, candidates have to visit the institute admission office in person for document verification. After the commencement of the counselling process, the final list of the selected candidates is released on the official website of the Indore Institute of Science and Technology. The list is prepared after assessing candidates' performance and records.
Step 4: Final Admission
At last, the selected candidates need to submit their original documents for verification. Further, they must also pay a certain amount of course fees and complete other admission formalities to confirm their seats.
