STEP 1: IHM Mumbai Application Process 2025
Eligible students can download the application form from IHM Mumbai official website. The dully-filled application form has to be submitted at the institute's admission office. For direct admission form, an application fee of INR 1,000 has to be paid. For the accepted entrance exam, candidates need to visit the conducting body official website to apply.
STEP 2: Shortlisting of Students
The applications are further shortlisted for BSc and certificate in Food Production based on NCHMCT JEE scores. For the short-term Diploma programmes, the candidates are offered direct admissions.
STEP 3: Reporting, Document Verification and Admission Confirmation
Selected candidates are further informed over email or a selection list is published by the institute. These candidates have to further report at the campus for document verification and fee payment for admission confirmation.
IHM Mumbai sees every hotel company in the country visiting it during the placement season. And these companies come in with their best programs for placements, generally called MT Programs (Management Trainee programs).
Unlike some B-schools and Engg. schools, there is no pay variances between campuses as long as you make it for the same program. That is to say whether you get selected from IHM Mumbai, Pusa, Chennai, or Shimla, if you make it to say OCLD, your pay structure remains the same.
Other than hotels, there are other industries too that come in for campus recruitments - QSRs, Travel firms, Airlines, Retail, Infrastructure management, BPOs, etc.
It is important to understand that IHM placements are not about who pays the best, in general, they all pay more or less the same, but it is about what your placement can do to your chosen career line in the next 5 years.
