The Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition (IHMCT&AN), generally known as the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), is a multi-location public hospitality institute in India. IHM is established by the Ministry of Tourism of the Government of India. It is also under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Tourism. It caters to not only the students of India but also international students from the SAARC.

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, invites online applications for the National Overseas Scholarship Scheme (NOS) from ST candidates. The scholarship is awarded to students selected for pursuing higher studies abroad at the Masters level, PhD and Post-Doctoral Research programmes. There are 20 slots for the scholarship.

IHM Mumbai follows a semester system for its academic BSc programme. Not at all, hostel facility is available at the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Mumbai, but it is not compulsory for first-year students. IHM Mumbai offers hostel facilities for students on campus only, and hostel seats are allotted by the hostel management. Boys and girls hostels are located on campus, and the boys' hostel has 45 well-furnished rooms that are usually given out on a triple-sharing basis. Therefore, while the hostel facility is available at IHM Mumbai, it is not compulsory for all students.

IHM Mumbai sees every hotel company in the country visiting it during the placement season. And these companies come in with their best programs for placements, generally called MT Programs (Management Trainee programs).

Unlike some B-schools and Engg. schools, there is no pay variances between campuses as long as you make it for the same program. That is to say whether you get selected from IHM Mumbai, Pusa, Chennai, or Shimla, if you make it to say OCLD, your pay structure remains the same.
