The Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition is a central autonomous body under the control of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The college is registered under the Societies Registration Act and is affiliated with the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Noida. Earlier, the college was named Food Craft Institute (Goa) in 1968, and then in 2002, it was named IHM Goa.
IHM Goa offers UG, diploma, Craftsmanship, and Hunar Se Rozgar courses to students across Craft, Food Production, Food & Beverage, and various other streams. The BSc course is offered in collaboration with IGNOU. The institute offers scholarships to meritorious and deserving candidates. The institute has well-equipped infrastructure, which includes classrooms, a training kitchen, a library, a medical facility, a cafeteria, a hostel, and others. IHM Goa offers a regular BSc programme in Hospitality and Hotel Administration (BSc HHA) accredited by IGNOU and NCHMCT. The institute extends this programme in a full-time mode. The total tuition fee for the BSc course is INR 2.87 lakh. Additionally, a one-time fee of INR 8,300 is also included in the total fee, which includes components like caution deposit and enrollment fee.
