Padmabhooshan Vasantdada Patil Institute of Technology, Pune has set a few eligibility criteria for the aspirants to meet before they apply for B.Tech or any other course.

The candidate must have got Physics and Mathematics as required courses, along with one of the following: Computer Science, IT, Informatics Practices, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational Subjects, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies. All of these subjects must have been completed with the 45% aggregate from any recognised Board or Council. Candidates from Maharashtra State are required to appear for the MHT-CET. All candidates from India must show up for the either MHT-CET or JEE Main. But JEE Main would be given precedence over MHT-CET.

Strong academics and placements with great campus life.
Placements: B.Teach in Computer Science and Engineering, Batch of 2025. Approximately 85% of the students from my course were placed through campus placements. The highest package is 45 LPA. Around 70% of students received internships through the campus.
Infrastructure: Tools, academic & departmental facilities. Our Computer Science & Engineering department is well-equipped with modern infrastructure. Wi-Fi-enabled campus. High-speed internet is available throughout the academic blocks and hostels. A 24/7 medical center is available on campus, staffed with a qualified doctor and basic emergency services. The college also has tie-ups with nearby hospitals for specialized treatment and emergencies.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable in their respective subjects. Most faculty members had postgraduate degrees or PhDs, and several had industry or research experience. They were approachable outside class hours as well, especially during project work or doubt-clearing sessions. Teaching methods included PowerPoint presentations, practical sessions, assignments, and real-world case studies, which helped in better understanding.

Value for money.
Placements: 50% of students got placed on campus. The highest package of college is 12 LPA, and the average is nearly 6 LPA to 7 LPA. College offers internships to students and provides all the help for placement. Talking about placements, it is good for students who do hard work. College is supportive.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi in college is strong and it has good library. Campus is neat and well-maintained. Mess and canteen food is okay but much better than other mess and canteen food. The healthy food is provided by the mess, which is good to eat. It contains 4 chapatis, vegetable dal, rice, and sometimes sweets.
Faculty: Semester exams are taken seriously, and no cheating is allowed at all. M2 and M3 subjects are hard, but teachers are helpful about that before the end-sem exam. College takes the prelims exam and takes the practicals of each subject, gives assignments for each subject, and it is very important to end sem. Teachers are also helpful.

Placements: The BCA course at this college has an average placement record of 30-35%. Students are getting decent on-campus opportunities, with an average package of 3-5 LPA. About 40-50% of the students get internships, with top roles including dotnet developer and python developer.
Infrastructure: The college has well-maintained infrastructure for the BCA course. The labs have Wi-Fi and computer systems with the required software for students to practice. The library, sports, and various other facilities are also offered to students. Overall, the facilities available for our course are good enough.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry ready. The exams are not hard to pass, and the college has a pass percentage of 40%.

Faculty is excellent, and placements are good. Dissatisfied with campus and college life.
Placements: Placement is not 100%, but at least 75%–80% of students secure placements. The highest placement rate is for mechanical engineering students, who receive good salary packages. The highest salary package is approximately 15 LPA – 18 LPA, while the average salary package is relatively low, around 5 LPA – 5.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: There are good facilities for courses and hostels, some rules are quite strict. Labs are well-equipped, and Wi-Fi is available with a reliable network. The library is well-maintained and useful. Sports events are conducted by our university (SPPU). Overall, courses and hostel are good.
Faculty: We have are very good teaching staff who are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is excellent, with repeated explanations to ensure understanding. They focus on every student and provide useful tips. They also prepare students to be industry-ready. Exams are conducted very strictly. The passing percentage is the same as the university passing percentage.
Other: This college is excellent for learning, but it may not be ideal for those seeking a vibrant campus experience. Maximum placements are for mechanical branch students, followed by CSE students. But, the campus is quite small. Overall, the college is good.

The faculty is really good. The only downside is the infrastructure of this college.
Placements: The average salary package of our college is 4 LPA which is neither good nor bad. However the placement cell helps in understanding our pros and cons which is helpful. They have also provided us with LinkedIn Premium which helped us upscale our skills and gain more courses and knowledge.
Infrastructure: In this field I don't know what to say. The campus is too small with not much classroom space. The hostel is absolute garbage. There isn't water for 3-4 days and no clean food is served. So I would say it's not good in this case. Many people have considered taking PGs instead of staying in the hostel.
Faculty: Here, I would say the faculty members are talented in their field. They teach well, and the curriculum is also amazing. The exposure we receive is mind-blowing. Exams are pretty tough, and checking is also strict. There's no doubt about it. The course teaching is relevant to the topic, and it makes us think about real jobs.
Other: I chose this course because I have been playing with computers since I was a kid and wanted to understand the processes behind them. Coding just seems to be my cup of tea. Events like Technothon gave us a chance to showcase our skills to fellow students, motivating them to also dive deep into this field.

You can consider this college, if you have the cutoff marks.
Placements: There are good placement ratios. About 75% of students get placed. TCS, Infosys, Wipro, etc. companies visit the college for placement. Any internship facility provided in college is also good. But I am not satisfied with this college.
Infrastructure: Mess is good at the campus. The medical facility is also good. The library and classrooms are clean as well. Wi-Fi speed is also satisfying. Labs are good. All the instruments needed are available at the labs in the college, and all the practicals are conducted.
Faculty: This college is affiliated with Savitribai Pule Pune University Pune. By this curriculum, students get industry-ready. The difficulty level of the exam is moderate, and passing needs 40 marks from a total of 100 marks. Teachers are also well qualified. Most of teachers are pursuing or completed Ph.Ds.
