The college is the best, and I recommend it.
Placements: There are many courses in our college like B.Sc., B.Tech and also advanced courses like M.Sc. and PhD. For zoology, there are many zoo aquariums, Aqua Zoo and Marine Aqua. There are some students from foreign through the student exchange program as well as other big colleges like Jhunjhunwala. Many roles like assistant wildlife technician, veterinary technician, etc., roles are offered.
Infrastructure: Hostel services are the best. Good Wi-Fi is available. They follow Covid rules. The college canteen food is good. Sports activities are held every year. The library is good, and there are different sections for boys and girls. The classrooms are good, and both smart classrooms and normal ones are available.
Faculty: The faculty members are like a family to us. They help us a lot. They give us PPTs and notes, so no there is no difficulty. We have to attend 75% of the lectures. The passing percentage is 50%. The teachers are well qualified and also helpful.
Other: Somaiya has the best campus. There are many things held like a fresher's party, festivals, and many more things.

You will have a good infrastructure and amazing campus life.
Placements: Placements were average for our course, just like in any other B.Sc course. Approximately 50% of the students got placed from our course. Only 5%-10% of the students got internships from our college. Companies like TCS, Here Technologies and Maps visited our college for placements. Roles like analysts, etc., were offered in companies. Most of the students get a salary ranging from Rs. 15,000-18,000 per month.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is one of a kind. The canteen, campus and playgrounds are amazing. It was a great experience. There are amazing hostels, and there is connectivity to city life. The food served in the mess is delicious, and there is a Maggi house also where you get Maggi, pasta, coffee, etc.
Faculty: Teachers here were fine, and some teachers were really good and helpful. They all had good knowledge of their subject. But a few of them struggled to explain things well, while few teachers were good. Some teachers were very strict and rude. Basically, you would get a combination of a variety of teachers here. You are lucky if you get good teachers.
Other: I wish that our college should provide more opportunities, internships and placements.

The college is like a personality development cell.
Placements: I haven't took any placement. Many companies were looking forward to recruit the students, but I would prefer higher education like NETSET because it's better if people want to recruit you rather than you go for it. Be greedy for knowledge, and success automatically comes to you.
Infrastructure: The college building is made with values and knowledge, and so Somaiya did. The infrastructure is not like today's five-star colleges, but the values and the teachers are top-notch. There is Wi-Fi facility through which you can download all the lectures. The labs are well furnished. The medical facility includes crocin and paracetamol only. An international athletics ground is available for practice, and well-qualified coaches are available.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and caring as well. Many of them are PhD graduates and have immense knowledge. They adopt the newer methods of teaching and do some fundamental changes which help in enhancement of the overall mind of the student. The student to faculty ratio is 5:1. There are many experimental workshops to get the practical knowledge along with the theoretical knowledge.
Other: It is a college of fests.

I was satisfied because of faculty, decent placement and great facilities etc.
Placements: The placements were a bit different from my senior batch. 50% of the students got placed. The companies like TCS, Here Maps came. The basic roles were offered, and in Here Map company, I was offered GIS analyst 1 position. Both the companies offered Rs. 15,000- Rs. 18,000 per month. It was a good placement.
Infrastructure: Kj Somaiya's infrastructure is the best as per my experience. We were getting open Wi-Fi facility. The librarian was good by nature, and medical facilities were good enough. The qualities of labs and classroom were average. The quality of food and its varieties takes Somaiya canteen at number 1 position in Mumbai. The hostel rooms were looking decent as I can't say about it because I was not residing there. There are no issue faced during my academics.
Faculty: As Somaiya is an autonomous college, we were bitten reliable by teachers. Whatever teacher taught us that only came in exams. The teachers were highly qualified with great knowledge of easy methods. The teaching quality was best because of its simplicity. The course curriculum was of great use.
Other: The festivals like Binary, etc., have great fun. The extracurricular activities were helpful.

Absolutely dissatisfied with faculty.
Placements: The college is not very good at placements. They ask students to study further even after completing their degree. My older friends and family have had issues with this, and I see my seniors still jobless. Placement is a bit of a problem at my college. Only if you score exceptionally well will you get a decent placement.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi. The classrooms are not air-conditioned, and there are no cameras. The fans are also off and cannot be turned on. The projectors are old, and the classrooms are very hot and congested. The tables are also not in good condition. However, the canteen is good, the food is tasty, and although the prices are a bit higher than outside, they are still bearable.
Faculty: Teachers often spend time Googling what to do and how to do it. They mostly rely on their own experience. Some teachers are knowledgeable. It feels like you just take your degree and leave, with no real-life usefulness from the course. Only the training and placement cell provides some help. The first semester is very easy, but from the second semester onwards, it becomes difficult to even score average marks.
Other: Fests are the only good thing, and sports are the best part. I chose this course just so I don't waste my year, and I plan to change it next year.
