BA at Delhi University is offered in over 180 combinations. The UG-level course is available in different specialiations, including Political Science, Psychology, Journalism, French, etc. Delhi University BA Science course admissions is done based on performance in the CUET exam. DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.
However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. While the chances of getting into a good DU college are still low at this score, the chances of getting a seat have increased now (provided you score extremely well in CUET UG).
For seat allocation at DU, students are required to lock their college and course preferences after the result is out. Delhi University will consider normalised scores provided by NTA to calculate the merit scores as per programme's eligibility. Before the CUET counselling process for DU will even begin, it is necessary that aspirants opt for DU during CUET form filling and later apply on the CSAS portal to be eligible for admission. The admission process after CUET result declaration is explained below:
Step 1: After the declaration of the CUET UG exam, register on the DU CSAS portal in multiple phases.
Step 2: Submit College + Course combination preferences in the order of priority on the CSAS dashboard.
Step 3: The University has released the dates for three DU CSAS Seat Allocation Lists for all categories.
- The "freeze" option in seat allocation for CSAS (DU) is to be selected by the students to confirm their admission choice to the allocated college and course at DU.
- If candidates are happy with the assigned college and course, they can freeze the request through their dashboard.
- Once they select this option, they will not be considered for "upgradation" of choice in further rounds of CSAS.
- Candidates must only select this option only if they are satisfied with the allocated seat and want to take admission to this course & college
- If they do not choose to upgrade or freeze your admission, their current status will be maintained.
Step 4: Once the candidate "Accept" the provisionally allocated seat, the concerned college will verify the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate online. The college has an option to 'Accept' or 'Reject' the admission of the student basis the verification.
Step 5: Once the DU-affiliated college accords the approval, candidates will have to pay the 'Admission Fee' to confirm their seat.
On the basis of the availability of seats due to rejections, cancellations, and withdrawals, DU may announce multiple allocation rounds. The University of Delhi will display the vacant seats on its admission website (admission.uod.ac.in) before every allocation round.
DU registrations via CUET 2023 for UG programmes began on Feb 10, 2023 and were open till Mar 30, 2023. Additionally, for admission to PG courses, DU CUET-PG registrations for the 2023 session started on Mar 20 and were open till May 5. Interested candidates were able to apply online on the official website of CUET UG and CUET PG.

- University of Delhi (DU) has released the admission cutoff for 5-yr integrated BA LLB and BBA LLB courses through Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) scores.
- The CUET PG 2026 registration process for admission to PG courses is expected to begin in Jan 2026.
- DU CSAS-PG 2025 Spot Round 3 allocations have been released for admission to various PG courses based on the CUET-PG 2025 scores, and the last date for fee payment is Aug 20, 2025.
No, the University of Delhi does not have a provision for direct admissions. Candidates seeking admission to the UG-level programme are required to take the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Students who meet the eligibility criteria can apply and appear for the national-level examination. The results are then announced based on candidates' scores.
To check DU BA CUET results, aspirants need to login to the CSAS portal. The course and college allotment is done as per the preferences filled by the candidate in the CUET application. After selection, students can get documents verified and pay the fees for seat confirmation.
For admission to a BA/BA (Hons) programme at the University of Delhi, aspirants need to have a valid score of CUET. Hence, the aspirants fulfilling the eligibility requirements need to fill out CUET application available on the NTA official website. The exam fees range from INR 800 to INR 4,500. The CUET UG cut off is determined by CUET participating universities seperately. Parameters on the basis of which CUET UG cut off is released are:
- Total number of candidates that appeared for the CUET UG exam
- The number of seats offered by the participating universities through CUET UG
- The difficulty level of the CUET exam
- Overall performance of the test takers (pass percentage/ score range, etc.)
CUET cut off is based on the percentile of the candidate. To calculate the CUET percentile following formula is applied:
100*Number of candidates appeared in the session with a raw score is equal to or less than a candidate/ total number of candidates appeared for CUET UG.
The University of Delhi Common Seat Allocation System registrations 2024 will begin soon. While the university conducted DU UG admissions 2024 via CUET scores through the CSAS portal last year as well, this is the first time DU will conduct DU PG admissions 2024 through CUET. Eligible students seeking DU admission 2024 have to register through the DU CSAS official website.
DU University registrations via CUET usually begins in February every year. Soon after the release of the notification, the CUET application process commences online. Candidates willing to appear for CUET exam must ensure to fill out the application form online when released. The application process of Delhi University affiliated colleges for its BA and BA (Hons) courses start with the registration process of CUET. Those who qualify the exam are required to register on the DU CSAS portal (admission.uod.ac.in) for the final admission and college preference filling process. Based on the score in CUET UG, students receive admission calls in various rounds.
BA or BA (Hons) aspirants are required to apply for CUET UG before registering on the DU portal. After registration for the exam, candidates must pay the registration fee which is as follows:

The number of students placed during the DU placements 2026 are not out yet. However, so far 1095 SRCC students were placed in the 2026 placement season. Additionally, the number of offers provided to Hansraj and LSR students was 130 and more than 160.

No, class 11th subject syllabus is not included in CUET UG exam. Students who are preparing for CUET 2026 exam must focus on class 12th NCERT curriculum. NTA prescribes the CUET UG syllabus on its official website. Candidates must be familar the detailed syllabus mentioned on the NTA CUET official website- cuet.nta.nic.in. However, for better concepts clarity, candidates may refer to the class 11th resources.
NTA CUET 2026 exam will be scheduled in May/June 2026 tentatively. Candidates preparing for board examinations must prepare well for the CUET exam along.
