KVG College of Engineering is one of the most reputed engineering colleges in Karnataka, India. The engineering college started in 1986, was one of the first private sector initiatives in technical education in Dakshina Kannada District. Popularly known as KVGCE, it is located in Kurunjibhag, Sullia, Dakshina Kannada. K.V.G. College of Engineering sponsored by Academy of Liberal Education (R) Sullia D.K. and is one of the largest mega educational complexes in India.
With regard to KVG College of Engineering, it is possible to be admitted for either of its B.E./B.Tech courses without having gone through the official KCET. The college admits students via COMEDK UGET and JEE Main entrance tests; around 30-40% of its seats are filled on the basis of performance on COMEDK UGET, while about 10-15% are allocated on the basis of students' performance on the JEE Main examination. Additionally, the college also admits students under management quota, which constitutes around 20-25% of the total seats. To be able to apply for admission, candidates must have passed the minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects of 10+2.
