Put in good efforts for better opportunities.

Placements: The placements are good for chemical engineering, but the placements for chemical technology students are a few. The salaries offered were impressive. Something that you should keep in mind while studying in this college is that if you put your efforts, I can assure double in return.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure in our college is not good, but it can satisfy all our needs. We have free Wi-Fi facility with good speed. The college has required machinery in the labs that you can't find such machinery in any other private engineering college.

Faculty: One thing to keep in mind is the faculty members. The teachers and staff members are good and well-educated. They consider their students as their children.

Other: Several events and fests were organised in the college, and one can enjoy those events. You can love learning in this college.

True condition of the college.

Placements: The placements in LIT particularly in surface coating technology is excellent. Because of very less intake, ie. 18 most of the students get placed in campus and off campus. Companies like Tata, Nerolac, Berger, Asian paints frequently comes and offers a decent package to the students.

Infrastructure: The LIT college is a government college so, one must not expect much about the infrastructure. The infrastructure is very poor. There is no maintenance of the laboratories, classes and washrooms. The condition of the labs is, one cannot enter the lab and perform the practicals.

Faculty: The faculty members are the shortage in every department. For surface coating department, only HOD looks after everything for teaching students and guide them in mini and major projects.

Other: There are very few events held at LIT. One being Ganesh utsav celebration and other being annual social gathering.

Placements of LIT in last couple of years is at the peak.

Placements: College has good placements for chemical engineering as well as chemical technology. Placement record of college from the year 2000 is given on college's official site litnagpur. In. From the last couple of years LIT made histroy in campus placements. In current session 2017-2018 almost all the eligible students I. e. , 95% students chemical engineering got placed in well known companies. Top recruiters in LIT are Reliance, TATA motors, Mahindra, BPCL, HPCL, NFIL, HONEYWELL, THERMAX, BURGER PAINTS, FAIT, ADANI, JK PAPERS, ITC, etc.

Infrastructure: College was established in 1942 and is one of the oldest institute of chemical engineering and Technology in India. College has beautiful main building and newly constructed chemical engineering department building with well-equipped chemical and computer labs with free Wi-Fi facility. College has separate library where many books of chemical engineering and Technology are available.

Faculty: LIT has well qualified faculty. Most of teachers are very helpful in academics. After completing third year each student of chemical engineering and Technology is sent for one month industrial training in different companies. And course curriculum is definitely helpful for students.

Other: There are many events are organized by institute in every academic year, are, 1) Ganesh Festival Celebration 2) Model United Nations 3) MERGE 4) REACT (technical event ) 5) Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti + hostel day 6) Annual Gathering 7) NSS.

The college has 100% placements, and provides all the facilities.

Placements: Many MNCs are recruiting the students of LIT, Nagpur, as it is one of the prestigious and the oldest institute in India. It was established in 1942. List of placements is given on the website of LIT, along with selected candidates. You can check placements on the website litnagpur.in.

Infrastructure: There are many labs and infrastructure is good. And, as my batch is of only 15 students, there is no need for many classrooms. Only one classroom is sufficient for the batch. The lab is having all the equipment, and it is set up like industries. The lab is open to students 24*7 hours.

Faculty: The faculty are very good. Almost all the testing devices are available in the lab. Most of the chemicals are available in the lab. The course is covering all the subjects of chemical engineering along with paints and coatings technology. The placement is excellent. All the students get placement in very reputed companies.

Other: There are many events like React, which is a national conference. Three days annual function is present. Three days hostel day, LIT Model United Nation, Quizzapur, LITAA, Laxminarayan days on 13th Jan and 30th September and also various events are held. It is an 80 acres campus. The summer internship is compulsory after 3rd year. College is arranging the internship. The college has a very good relationship with chemical industries. College fee is around Rs. 26,000 only for open students, Rs. 13,000 for OBC and Rs. 7,000 to Rs. 8000 for SC/ST. OBC students getting their money back by scholarship (Rs. 13,000) and SC/ST students get Rs. 33,000 scholarship. The hostel is also cheaper. It is only Rs. 1,950 for one year as rent, and Rs. 1,800 per month for the mess.

Administration is unfair with chemical technology students for training and placements.

Placements: Last year, the package was offered by Tata motors was 6.5 lacs per annum which were highest. Out of total 18 students 12 were placed on-campus, and 6 were placed off-campus. The companies like BASF, Tata motors, Nerolac and Berger usually visit the campus. Marketing, production, technical service, application, R&D and production are the fields where the students are usually placed. Elite, GFC, Merge, Litman was the companies where the internships and training are arranged for the students.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi service is available on the college campus. The boy's hostel has the free Wi-Fi facility. The labs are not updated to modern technologies. The various sports such as cricket, volleyball, football are played on college ground. The college infrastructure is not good, and the canteen is not hygienic. They are the drawbacks in the campus.

Faculty: The faculty members are good and knowledgeable, but they are not supportive towards the students. The teaching quality is good. The student to faculty ratio is poor. The lack of manpower, faculty and administration makes a difference between C.E. and chemical technology students. They are unfair to the chemical technology students especially the director of the Institute.
