LPU Admission Office shortlists candidates for PhD admission based on their scores in LPUNEST. Aspirants who pass the entrance test have to further qualify interview round. The final selection for PhD admission is based on performance of the candidates in entrance test (80% weightage) and interview (20% weightage) subject to scoring minimum marks in the interview round.
LPU PhD fee structure is a combination of several fee components including tuition fee, hostel fees, examinaition fees, caution deposit, and other fees. The LPU PhD tuition fee ranges between INR 3 lakh - INR 7.2 lakh.
The fees for the other components is yet to be revealed by LPU for PhD students. The LPU fees might be charged on either per semester of per annum basis.
No, you cannot become a lawyer without a Law degree. You mandatorily need to obtain degrees such as BA/BCom/BSc/BBA LLB or LLB in order to be a lawyer in India. To become a lawyer, one must first complete three-year or five-year LLB from a recognised university and possess degree certificate. Then, they must enrol themselves in local Bar Council of the concerned state and enrolled as an advocate. Within two years of the enrolment, they must appear and clear AIBE in order to be eligible to practise anywhere in India.

Candidate passed with mentioned aggregate marks or equivalent grades prescribed by UGC in the Master's Degree (2 year or 4 semester Master’s Degree after a 3 year Bachelor’s Degree ) or equivalent in the relevant subject are eligible to apply.
Candidate who has completed 1-year/2-semester master's degree in M.Tech or M.Sc. Food Technology or Food Science & Technology or Food Science or Post Harvest Technology or M.Sc Foods and Nutrition or M.Sc. Nutrition and Dietetics and M.Sc or M.Tech Biotechnology or equivalent with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or equivalent grades prescribed by UGC after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree is also eligible.
If an institute has conversion factor of 9.5 then CGPA of 7.5 will not result in 75% marks and hence such a candidate will not be eligible.A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC or ST or OBC (non-creamy layer) or Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.
Candidates completed 4-years/8-semesters graduation/bachelor's degree with 75% aggregate marks from any recognized institute/university are eligible to apply.
