Candidate passed with mentioned aggregate marks or equivalent grades prescribed by UGC in the Master's Degree (2 year or 4 semester Master’s Degree after a 3 year Bachelor’s Degree ) M.Tech. or M.E. or MS (with Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering or Industrial Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering or Mechatronics or Instrumentation & Controls or Laser Technology, Engineering materials technology or Biomechanics) or equivalent are eligible to apply.

Candidate who has completed 1-year/2-semester master's degree in M.Tech. or M.E. or MS (with Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering or Industrial Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering or Mechatronics or Instrumentation & Controls or Laser Technology, Engineering materials technology or Biomechanics) or equivalent. with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or equivalent grades prescribed by UGC after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree is also eligible.
If an institute has conversion factor of 9.5 then CGPA of 7.5 will not result in 75% marks and hence such a candidate will not be eligible.

A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC or ST or OBC (non-creamy layer) or Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.
