LPU Admission Office PhD Admission Dates 2026
LPU PhD registrations are currently open for 2026 session. LPU BTech 2026 admissions are ongoing. The online registration process begins on 14th October 2025. Slot booking for the online examination starts on 10th December 2025 onwards. The last date to apply and book a slot is 15th January 2026. Entrance exam will be conducted from 20th January to 5th February 2026 for test centre-based exams. For remotely proctored exams, it will be conducted from 10th January to 5th February 2026 The results will be displayed within 24 working hours of the test. Step 1: LPU PhD Application Process 2026
LPU PhD admission to all the above-mentioned specialisations is done through online mode. Candidates, fulfilling the eligibility criteria, need to apply online through the admission portal of the university. The exam fee for LPUNEST (soft copy of LPUNEST KIT) is INR 1,000 for males and INR 500 for females. The printed LPUNEST Kit is INR 1,500 for boys and INR 1,000 for girls. Step 1.1: Visit the official website of LPU, https://www.lpu.in/, and click on the ' Apply Now' tab at the top of the web page.
Step 1.2: Register on the official admission portal of LPU i.e. LPUADMIT (admission.lpu.in) with basic details such as name, email-id, mobile no., state, gender and password). The email id used during registration will act as the username for the portal and the password needs to be set by the candidate while registering. Candidates can continue to apply for LPUNEST (for scholarship purposes).
Step 1.3: Upload the requisite documents.
Step 1.4: Pay the application fee and hit the submit button to complete the application process.

Step 2: Slot Booking
This step is applicable only to the candidates wishing to appear for LPU NEST PhD. In LPUNEST slot booking 2024, candidates need to select an exam date and a shift for appearing in the exam. There are two ways to book the slot that are slot booking by the candidate and slot booking by the authorities of Lovely Professional University.
Step 3: Selection
LPU selects candidates for PhD programme based on LPUNEST PhD score. The university will also consider the academic performance of the candidates for final selection. Below is the weightage of selection parameter for PhD:

Candidates can apply offline for PhD course as soon as they recieve the LPUNEST Kit. The application form can be submitted by one of the following methods:
1. Manual Application: Fill the full application form (OMR sheet) after reading all the instructions as specified under the head “Instructions for filling Application Form (OMR sheet)” and send it to the university in the self-addressed envelope on the following Address: Block 30, Room No 102, Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar Delhi, GT Road, Phagwara, Punjab, India – 144411
2. Semi-Offline Application: In case applicant is unable to send the hard copy of application form (OMR Sheet), then applicant may scratch the Unique OMR code available on application form (OMR Sheet) and follow the below mentioned steps:
- Sign up on LPU ADMIT portal
- When prompted for payment, choose the option of Unique OMR Code (given on OMR Sheet)and fill the same.
LPU PhD fee structure is a combination of several fee components including tuition fee, hostel fees, examinaition fees, caution deposit, and other fees. The LPU PhD tuition fee ranges between INR 3 lakh - INR 7.2 lakh.
The fees for the other components is yet to be revealed by LPU for PhD students. The LPU fees might be charged on either per semester of per annum basis.
