See the truth yourself before admitting your child to a college.
Placements: I am currently a B.Tech AIDS student from the 2023-2027 batch. Placement scenario is not very promising. Hardly 30-40% of students from my course were placed in the last placement season. The highest package is around 5 LPA, the lowest is 1.8 LPA, and the average is 2.5 LPA. Many of the offers are for non-core roles like BPO and support jobs.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure for the computer science department is very disappointing. Labs are outdated, with limited working systems. There is poor access to updated tools or real-time project environment. Wi-Fi is unreliable and often restricted. Classrooms are basic, and library lacks current CS reference books.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are not specialized in core CS areas like AI, ML, or data science. A few are helpful, but many rely on outdated teaching methods (mostly PPTs). There is minimal focus on hands-on learning or real-world industry applications.

Great infrastructure and growing placement opportunities, but faculty quality needs improvement.
Placements: Placement opportunities are increasing each year, especially for CS/IT students. However, core placements are limited. Packages vary widely. The syllabus is up-to-date for some branches, especially tech-related courses. However, exam patterns and internal assessment can be unpredictable.
Infrastructure: Campus is modern and well-maintained with good classrooms, labs, Wi-Fi, and libraries. Hostels are decent but could be cleaner. Hostel rooms are livable with basic amenities. Mess food is average, sometimes good, sometimes not. Hygiene can be improved.
Faculty: Some professors are experienced and helpful. But overall teaching quality is average. Many rely heavily on PPTs instead of practical teaching.
Other: Our college has fair tuition fee compared to facilities and placement outcomes. It is worth it for teaching branches, but other branches may feel less value. Good campus life with plenty of fests, clubs, and events. Student involvement in extracurricular activities is encouraged and well-managed. If the college is in a city, access is easy, if it's remote, it may feel isolated with limited public transport. Our college has value for money.

It is just like a school, not a college.
Placements: 90% of students are placed. There is a Japanese company recruitment. The top recruiting companies are Infosys, TCS, and CTS. Their recruitment is very high in our college. Even non-willing students get their projects as a pattern in our college. The placement cell provides detailed information.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facilities are available. The MBA section has AC, and both AC and non-AC options are available. The infrastructure is good, and the library is well-equipped, but some labs do not have Wi-Fi for personal devices. Medical facilities are available. The canteen has average infrastructure but offers good quality food. Non-veg meals are served on Sundays and Wednesdays. There is also a gym for students to work out.
Faculty: MKCE has experienced and qualified faculty members, with many having industry exposure. The teaching quality is good, with a mix of theory and practical learning. However, like any college, the teaching skills vary.
Other: A new cybersecurity course is added.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) - Batch of 2024

5Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Overall, the best college for the MCA course.
Placements: During my study period, about 77% of students were assigned to their family companies. The highest package offered was 25 LPA, and the lowest was 5 LPA. Accenture, Tech Mahindra, and NVIDIA were among the leading recruiters. The top positions offered in the course included software engineer, software developer, and similar roles. Approximately 75% of students receive internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: Our college’s infrastructure was subpar, although improvements were being considered. Wi-Fi facility had a capacity of 35 Mbps. Libraries lacked a suitable collection of books. The mess facilities of Ramanujan Boys Hostel were adequate, but the meals served were unhygienic. There was a clinic on campus, but, most of medications prescribed by doctors had to be purchased elsewhere.
Faculty: Teachers were good. Some of teachers were really knowledgeable, but only a handful. The study curriculum was also acceptable. One thing was certain study schedules weren’t hectic. There was plenty of time to engage in other pursuits. Exams were not difficult at all, simply paying attention in class was enough. The pass rate was 87%.

"A Well-Rounded College with Strong Academics and Vibrant Campus Life."
Placements: The percentage of students placed in your course is in the range of 80-90%. The minimum package offered for the course is 3 LPA. The maximum package offered for the course is 5 LPA. The top recruiting company for your course is Tech Mahindra. About 40% of students will get an internship.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi is good on the campus. The labs are newly installed, and new components are used for the improvement of skills of the students. The safety measures are also improved. The classrooms contain smart TVs, and the classes are maintained with cleanliness. The library contains both subject-based and fiction books, newspapers, and magazines. All the infrastructure is good.
Faculty: To provide accurate and specific answers to these questions, I'll need to know the name of the college or course you're referring to. Could you please share that? If not, I can provide a general response based on typical academic experiences. Teachers' qualifications and knowledge vary by college, but most strive for high teaching standards. The curriculum is often designed to ensure industry relevance. Semester exam difficulty varies; many colleges maintain a balanced pass percentage of 70-90%.
Other: The college hosts vibrant events and fests that encourage creativity and talent. The campus crowd is diverse and fosters a collaborative environment. Connectivity to the campus is well-organized, making commuting easy. The surroundings are serene, enhancing the learning experience. Scholarships are available for meritorious and needy students, offering financial support. Extracurricular activities, from sports to cultural clubs, allow students to explore their interests and develop holistic skills. While the campus atmosphere is lively, better infrastructure and placement opportunities could improve the overall experience.
