Q:   How are Bannari Amman Institute of Technology 2023 cut off marks determined?
A:

The Bannari Amman Institute of Technology (BIT) 2023 cut off marks are determined based on various factors, including the previous year's cut off trends, the number of applicants, the availability of seats, and the difficulty level of the entrance exams. Here's a step-by-step breakdown of how the cut off marks are determined:

1. Previous year's cut off trends: The cut off marks for the ongoing year are many times affected by the earlier year's removed imprints. The patterns from the earlier years can give a thought of the normal cut off marks for the ongoing year
2. Number of applicants: The number of applicants for a particular course and category also plays a role in determining the cut off marks. If the number of applicants is high, the cut off marks may increase, and vice versa.
3. Availability of seats: The quantity of seats accessible for a specific course and class is one more vital consider deciding the cut off marks. Assuming the quantity of seats is restricted, the cut off imprints might be higher, as well as the other way around.
4. Difficulty level of the entrance exams: The difficulty level of the entrance exams can also impact the cut off marks.
5. Reservation policies: The cut off marks may vary for different categories (such as General, SC, ST, OBC, etc.) due to the reservation policies. The cut off marks for reserved categories may be lower compared to the General category
6. Counselling process: The counselling process, which includes seat allotment and document verification, also plays a role in the final admission process. The cut off marks may be adjusted during the counselling process based on the availability of seats and the preferences of the candidates

The system is very different from other colleges which I liked very much and the campus is pleasant.
Placements: Around 60 to 70% of students from my department (ECE) are placed generally. In ECE, the highest package in the past academic year was 16 LPA from Cadence a core company. The lowest package is about 3 LPA, and the average package is around 5 LPA Top companies hiring in ECE are Cadence, Soliton, Applied Materials, etc. I think my college doesn't provide pure internships directly but my seniors who have worked as interns in that company and then they are recruited. One of my seniors placed as a VLSI system design engineer at Cadence.
Infrastructure: I like one thing very much about my college which is the infrastructure. Generally everywhere in my college is well-designed and maintained. For my course there are many labs called special labs like embedded product innovation lab, printed circuit board lab, and some other labs. There is also a big library and department library. Hostel is also good, you cannot expect a very modern hostel but a decent one which is well organised. The food is average and no non-veg is provided. Sports are not very great but not a bad kind of facilities, it depends on sports.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and dedicated but not everyone of them is like that. There are teachers who don't even behave like a teacher which is common in every college. Overall, most of the teachers are very good and supportive. The curriculum here is different, one is academics and another is personalized skills where a student needs to clear levels on the subject to obtain internals, which makes it industry-ready. Semester exams are not very hard, with the basic knowledge you can pass (50% is pass percentage).
Other: I chose ECE because it evolving as semiconductor industry evolves day by day in the future. The best thing about ECE is as I said semiconductor industry keeps growing and it is a safe option compared to IT field. I think teaching about more advanced, day-to-day technologies would be better. My college doesn't have any fests like culturals. Connectivity is good and the campus surroundings are also good.

The best college for study purposes because they are giving more importance.
Placements: Nearly 300 students are placed in my course. The highest package is 42 LPA and the lowest package is 3 LPA offered in my course. There some students got internships in my college like TCS and Soliton Companies. Web developer and front-end developer are the best roles offered in my course.
Infrastructure: Well-enhanced labs, all over the campus free Wi-Fi facility, best classrooms with well-working fans and light. Library with full AC and well-enhanced new edition books and digital library facility. Free Wi-Fi for every room and separate carts for individual students. Neat and clean canteen and 24-hour medical facilities and many sport and indoor games like chess and carrom board are there.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality of the staff is excellent. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are not difficult, it is easy to study and secure more marks and the pass percentage is 35%.
Other: I chose this course because this course has a high salary package. The thing that is best in my course is work from home. College should provide a non-vegetarian mess. They are providing government scholarships.

Review of Bannari Amman Institute of Technology.
Placements: Bannari Amman Institute of Technology is one of the strictest colleges in India, and placements are so average. The highest package is Rs. 4 lakh. I got many internships in companies, and its field department is so good.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for a college course or department are crucial to enhancing the learning experience. Typically, these include well-equipped classrooms with projectors or smart boards for interactive learning. WiFi is available across most campuses, ensuring that students have access to online resources at all times. Laboratories are an essential part of courses in science and technology, furnished with modern equipment to facilitate hands-on experiments. The library, often central to a college, offers a wide range of books, journals, and access to digital resources like research papers and e-books. In terms of hostels, the quality varies between institutions but generally includes basic amenities like clean rooms, shared bathrooms, and common areas. Some hostels offer Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, and recreational areas.
Faculty: Teachers are generally qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful, often holding advanced degrees in their fields. Their willingness to assist students outside of class enhances the learning experience. The teaching quality is good, with a mix of theory and practical applications, though it can vary depending on the instructor. The course curriculum is typically relevant, incorporating industry trends and skills that aim to make students industry-ready, especially through internships and projects. Semester exams can be moderately difficult, testing both understanding and application. The pass percentage often ranges from 75% to 90%, depending on the course and department.
Other: In my batch, we had a diverse mix of students in the course, each bringing unique perspectives. I chose this course due to my interest in its career prospects and the practical skills it offers. The best aspects include hands-on projects, industry exposure, and strong faculty guidance. Improvements could be made in updating the curriculum more frequently and increasing industry collaborations. The campus is vibrant, with regular events, festivals, and active student clubs. The campus crowd is friendly and diverse. Good connectivity and well-maintained surroundings enhance the experience. Scholarships and extracurricular activities also add value to student life.

One of the best colleges in Tamil Nadu.
Placements: I think 80% of the students are placed on campus. The highest package is almost 27 LPA, and the lowest is 4 LPA. TCS is the top recruiter. 70 to 80% of students got internships to visit Zoho company. Software development are the top role offered in this course.
Infrastructure: There are a lot of facilities available in our college, like high-level computers and well-qualified faculty members. The hostel is clean and neat, but the food quality and taste are not up to the mark. The medical facilities and sports are good, and the teachers are also friendly.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, very helpful, and friendly. The teaching quality is also at the best level. Many faculty members help us a lot. Yes, the curriculum and courses are relevant to the industry. The semester exams are very tough, and the pass percentage is 50%.
Other: I chose this course because of my family pressure. But the course is very useful, and I have a great future. Make the semester easy and focus on skills to upgrade our knowledge.
