M.A. in English - Batch of 2022

It is the best college ever for an M.A. in English.
Placements: At our college, more than 70% of students got placements. The salary was up to 25 LPA. Randstad, ABC Consultants, Myntra, and others came for recruitment. Some students found employment in these companies. Approximately 65% of students got their internships. Roles such as Public Relations Specialist, Curriculum Developer, and others were offered.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure was good, and it provided a pleasant environment for students to study and enjoy their college life. However, Wi-Fi was not available for students on campus. The college had 5 hostels for men and women, each with a capacity of 175. Wi-Fi was available in the hostels. The food in the hostels was top-notch and well looked after.
Faculty: Our staff was well-qualified with adequate education. They helped us in many ways, both professionally and personally. They made me feel important in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities. We held several events to showcase our talents. Semester exams were not easy, and the passing percentage was more than 65%.

Best college, good environment, and good for developing you overall.
Placements: College has a very good placement cell. Many students get placed. There are many companies and great companies that offer placements for the students of Madras Christian College. There are lots of companies walking in and there is no need to worry about placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of Madras Christian College is actually amazing. The college has Wi-Fi connection, but there might be little network issues. Hostel is good, Wi-Fi connection is available, and a great place to enhance talents. It is a great place to develop socialising skills, and it's more a home than hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are extremely qualified and student-friendly. Semester exams are moderate. The curriculum here is excellent. It encourages students to learn more than learning from text. There is a holistic approach for teaching and learning here. It is a great place to feed knowledge.
Other: An amazing greenery environment and the traditions followed here teach something more important. It is a liberal arts and science college, and best place to be your best.

Bachelor of Business Administration - Batch of 2026

Just like the spirit of their informal motto, "Live, Love, MCC," you can truly enjoy college life.
Placements: I'm studying BBA. To enter placement, you must have at least 75% in academics, and above 85% will provide great opportunities for good company placements without any arrears. Over 80% of students get placed in good companies, with salaries ranging from 2 lakhs per annum to 6 lakhs per annum.
Infrastructure: The BBA department has a computer lab for practicing Tally, advanced Excel, and research. The infrastructure is good and resembles an older model building but is very strong. The campus provides two grounds for sports, a theater for media studies, a library, and hostels for boys and girls. The campus also features an Innovation Park for startups.
Faculty: Teachers are well-trained, experienced, and qualified. Their teaching is very understandable and helpful. The course curriculum is closely related to industrial-ready concepts. If you perform well in the internal exams and study thoroughly for the semester exams, the semester exam will be easier. The passing mark is 40 out of 100, calculated from both internal and semester exams. There will be three internal exams: two written exams and one talent or practical exam, while the semester exam will be written for 100 marks and converted to 50 marks. Marks allocated for internal assessments are 50 for each; from that, the two best marks are chosen and converted into 50.
Other: I chose this course to gain knowledge about management in business and industry. This department offers many club activities and events like debates and quizzes.

Overall very satisfied with the department and MCC College.
Placements: 25% of students were placed but most students opted for higher education. For our course, we did not get many packages as we were the first batch in psychology. Everyone in our course did an internship in various hospitals and organizations. We did research and attended lots of conferences and symposiums.
Infrastructure: The department has its library and separate classes with good infrastructure for every batch is available. Wi-Fi is available in the college library. The hostel halls in MCC are the best. We get quality food with veg and non-veg options, infirmary is available for emergencies on the campus. There are lots of game activities like inter-hall competitions and inter/intra-department sports meet.
Faculty: Professors are doctorate-qualified. They teach very well. They motivate us to do a lot of research work. The course curriculum is relevant to the latest trends in the industry. Exams are difficult and the pass percentage is 40/100. Overall the department is very good and improving than before with new facilities.
Other: MCC is filled with cultural events throughout the year. Annual events like Deepwoods and the inter hall sports meet are the biggest highlights of the college. The campus spans 365 acres of lush greenery, home to many plants and animals, including deer and porcupines that roam freely. The culture at MCC is distinct from other colleges around Chennai, with its unique traditions and customs.
