In CS or IT departments, placements are decent and many companies visited for them, but for mechanical students, there is no scope for placements.

Dissatisfied with the faculty, placements are decent, and good crowd, etc.
Placements: As a first year student, the placements are average here. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA. Amazon used to come in 2021, but since then, it has not come here. If you have skills, you will be placed with a good package.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are just like school, with wooden desks and old whiteboards with no smart board. There are two ACs in each classroom, which is a good thing, but sometimes its not working. If we talk about, for example, labs, CSE labs, AI labs, Chemistry labs, then they are well maintained, and the facilities are pretty good in the labs.
Faculty: Teachers are very decent, not much interaction, just completing the course, and no matter whether the students understand the concept or not. The curriculum is, however, the same as that of almost every college in India. Though teachers are usually strict and do not stretch the deadline for attendance, they may even extend the date for submission of assignments and other materials.
Other: If you do not get into an IIT, IIIT, NIT, DTU, or NSUT, then it can be an option for you.

A quick and honest review of Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology.
Placements: Placements in my college are kind of good for now, as here, placements are done by good companies. Average package remains nearly about 7-8 LPA, and the alumni network is very strong. Placements start here at the end of the third year or at the start of the fourth year for better opportunities. CSE course is the most major course that has given the best placement result in the past few years.
Infrastructure: College campus is a little bit small as mentioned online, but the classes are fully air-conditioned and furnished. There are also three to four canteens present on the campus in different locations inside the college, and food quality is okay, but you have to struggle with the quantity if you are with your friends.
Faculty: Faculty members are friendly and helpful in nature and help in solving doubts and give proper guidance when students need. All the teachers are well-qualified and have great teaching skills. Paper system and pattern are very good. There are two midterms in college, and the final end-of-term exams are done in other colleges so that student can feel the pressure and have a greater opportunity to explore and give their best.
Other: Here in our college, events are held in very small numbers, but the quality is unmatched by others, as our college societies provide us with such a great experience through the events held on our campus.

It's not as good as I expected, it to be or as it is projected.
Placements: Placements are majority off-campus, and very less companies visit the college. But placements do happen, and the placement cell is active. This year the maximum placements are above 50 LPA with about 100 students placed above 10 LPA. This record is shown everywhere.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very bad. Its bad in every aspect be it Wi-Fi, labs, classroom, or library. The whole college has only one Wi-Fi and its not working. Its range is also very less. College is very small and sports are not even their slightest concern. Canteens are okay.
Faculty: Faculty members are okay. Curriculum majority of mostly outdated. Exams happen a lot and if you want to score marks it is pretty easy. Scoring CGPA is a piece of cake, if you want only marks then it's good. You have to get more than 40 to pass a subject out of 100 which 40 are internal and 60 are external. If you are a bit sincere also you will also get more than 35 on every subject easily.

Good college with good placement and decent infrastructure.
Placements: Placement in my college is pretty good, especially for CSE. For the CSE batch in the previous year, almost all the students got placed, with the highest salary being offered 55 LPA and the lowest being 3 LPA. The average package for the CSE course is around 7-8 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Infosys, Amazon, Microsoft, Accenture, etc. The only problem is that the college does not provide many opportunities for internships.
Infrastructure: The college has pretty decent infrastructure. The campus size is not very big, but it is well-maintained. The college has very good labs and a library with proper Wi-Fi coverage. The systems in the computer lab are very high-end, as almost all the systems are equipped with i5 and i7 12+ gen CPUs. All the classrooms are equipped with AC, and the quality of food is decent.
Faculty: Teachers of the college are highly qualified. All the teachers have extensive knowledge, but the curriculum needs some changes. As technology is growing very fast, there should be subjects like AIML introduced in early semesters. Semester exams are not very tough, and the pass percentage is 40%.
Other: I chose CSE because it serves my best interest, a CSE graduate needs to learn continuously even after graduation. As I said earlier, the curriculum needs to be updated.

Okayish college for okayish students.
Placements: 70% of students are placed, with the highest salary package being 56 lakhs and the lowest at 3 lakhs. The top recruiting companies included Atlassian, DE Shaw, and JP Morgan. The number of students doing internships is relatively lower, around 30 to 40%. Top roles are not very varied.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are okayish, with air conditioning available in some but not all. There is a central library with a collection of books, and Wi-Fi is accessible, although it's not available in the classrooms. The hostel is not so good very small and the food is okayish but it has laundry services and other facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are not so helpful or knowledgeable. Classes don't feel like that of engineering but more of school. Teachers don't take much initiative. Semester exams are not so tough and the questions are generally based on formula.
Other: Events don't happen at a big level.

MAIT - Your last option to make it.
Placements: There are a lot of companies who visit the campus but they don't hire as many students. A big company named DE Shaw came to this college and recruited only 1 student out of 150. It provided a salary package of more than 50 LPA. This is the harsh placement scenario in our college. The mass recruitment is done but no one wants that.
Infrastructure: There is no good infrastructure. We have a very small campus area. The hostel mess food is great. The hostel is very expensive to afford here. You have to look out for a PG or a flat outside because it is not worth the money. This college is also not great.
Faculty: Mostly teachers or professors here don't wish to teach and come only because of their jobs. They don't have that charisma or great teaching skills. Students also lack the winner motivation to study. Our department is the worst at giving internal marks. They give good marks to the management students or teachers pet.
Other: This year, the fest was great and Raftaar came to our campus. I was on the fest organizing team. The experience was good. Choose this college when you have nowhere else to go to. Keep this as your last option.

With an IPU CET MBA rank of 757, your chances of getting into MAIT are really, really slimβ€”MAIT's 2025 Round 1 cutoff for MBA was between 294–727 across all categories, so you're just outside that sweet zone. With 82.57 percentile and Delhi home quota, CSE in MAIT/MSIT is almost impossible. For general quota CSE, MAIT closing rank is around 47–48k and MSIT home state around 109k. Spot round chances are super slim at this rank.
