It has a balanced tech journey with good opportunities.

Placements: I am from the 2025 batch of B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering at SJBIT. Overall, my experience at the college is quite good, with decent academic support and placement opportunities. Around 80% of students from our course got placed. The highest package offered is 12 LPA, and the average package offered is 4 LPA.

Infrastructure: Our department has good Wi-Fi, modern labs, smart classrooms, and a well-stocked library. Hostels are decent with clean rooms. Mess food is good. Medical facilities are available too. Sports facilities are good and active. It also includes a gym at an affordable price.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good, with practical exposure and smart boards. The course curriculum is mostly relevant and helps in building industry-ready skills. Semester exams are moderately difficult, with a 95% pass rate.

Other: I chose this course due to my interest in tech and coding. The best part is the practical learning and placement support. The syllabus could be updated more often. The campus has good tests, a friendly crowd, average connectivity, and decent extracurricular activities.

Our college provides average placements and quite a good ROI.

Placements: The placement percentage is close to 60 - 70 %. The highest package this year was 12 LPA and the lowest was 3.25 LPA with the average package ranging between 4.0 - 5.5 LPA. Few product-based companies and more services visit here. Internship opportunities are rare and ordinary and that too starts after the 6th sem. The roles offered are also not very promising and they hire for smaller roles.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is kind of average but the labs are really good and have high-level systems along with quite a large space for many students. The Wi-Fi speed in the labs is quite good. The library is quite spacious with all possible books and journals available. Books can be borrowed for 14 days and the late fine is Rs. 1 per day. The hostel infrastructure is above average. Rooms are quite spacious with 2 and 3-sharing options. They provide a bed, chair, table, and a spacious wardrobe. The mess meal is below average with both the north and south Indian menu.

Faculty: Some of the professors are quite well-trained but some are old fashioned and not that knowledgeable. The curriculum followed is quite old-fashioned and very little exposure to newer technology trends. Semester exams are quite easy. The pass percentage is around 95% or above. Studying a week before exams is enough and the paper is not that difficult. Professors' notes are enough to score above 8 pointer.

Other: The student intake is only 180 per branch and the on-campus competition is much less which is great. The newer technology courses have been introduce recently but for some of the courses, professors are not that skilled. There are two fests a year but one has not been conducted for 2 years. Events are quite average. They don't call celebrities for fests and night fests are not conducted.

THIS COLLEGE IS DEFINITELY WORTH WHAT YOU PAY. NICE COLLEGE THAT TEACHES INDIAN CULTURE TO STUDENTS.

Placements: In my college, more than 90% were placed two years ago, before 2024, but recently, due to the downfall of the software industry, it has decreased to 65%. However, by the time I complete my engineering and all eight semesters, I may see an amazing boom in the software industry.

Infrastructure: All the infrastructure is amazing, and greenery is present all over the campus. There are small issues in the bathrooms, like no water sometimes, and that's the only thing I’ve faced. As my friends say, the Wi-Fi in the hostel is not good, with no network for any SIMs. However, the hostel food is awesome, and they even provide snacks daily.

Faculty: The teachers at SJBIT Kengeri, Bangalore, are extraordinary. Almost all the faculty members have a lot of experience in teaching, and most of them have received their doctorates. They also arrange parent-teacher meetings after every internal exam. It’s great to be in this college.

Other: I chose this course because I thought it was a good way to earn and become a software employee. I took CSE because I love games and wanted to develop a game. My parents also encouraged me to choose this course. There are many fests happening in my college.

My overall experience at SJBIT has been good.

Placements: Placements during the year 2023 were very difficult due to the recession. However, SJBIT was able to bring in many good companies like Mercedes Benz, Brillio, Streebo, Verifone, and many more. The highest package was around 10.34 LPA from IG Infotech and Benz as well.

Infrastructure: I can say that no other college has better infrastructure when compared to SJBIT. This college is known for its ambience and greenery, and many facilities are also available. There are good and spacious classrooms along with sports and games facilities.

Faculty: I feel that SJBIT can recruit more good and well-educated teachers. We can rate them a 3.5 out of 5. The pass percentage at SJBIT is around 80 to 85 every year, and it is easy to pass semester exams as well. Teachers provide notes and PPTs after each topic is covered.

A 10 on 10 because of the good teaching staff and the beautiful campus.

Placements: About 80% of the students get placed in our college (from the CSE branch). The highest package was 26 LPA, and the lowest was 4 LPA. Top recruiters are Infosys, Walmart, Justdial, and Wipro. Many companies that are top recruiters provide internships for 70% of the students. As I am in the 1st year, I don't have much idea about the roles offered.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in the library, hostel, and also in the labs. You get to see the best infrastructure on our campus, and the campus is full of greenery. The hostels are very clean, and they provide hygienic food. As the BGS Hospital is nearby, it's very beneficial for students in case of any emergency, and they even provide consultations for our college students at the hospital. Our college encourages sports, and they conduct inter-college sports competitions.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, and they have very good knowledge and a strong hold on the subject, as they have completed their Masters and most of them are Ph.D. holders. The course curriculum is fantastic. They plan everything properly and follow a proper curriculum. As I'm in the first batch of autonomous exams, they are a bit tougher than the VTU exams, but the teaching standards are also high. The pass percentage is 96.

Other: We are the first batch of the autonomous curriculum. The CSE branch is very useful and vast. They conduct BGS Utsav every year for 2 days, and the branch fest also takes place every year. They encourage us to apply for scholarships.

Review of SJB Institute of Technology.

Placements: Whenever we want to pursue engineering, we need to always look into the placement opportunities. This college is one of the best colleges which provides good placement opportunities to all the students. Companies like TCS, Wipro, IG Infotech, Cognizant come here.

Infrastructure: The architecture of this college is simply superb. There are separate blocks for each department. A huge auditorium and a library are located inside the campus itself. Non-Veg is also provided during Wednesdays and Sunday. Sports and games also have equal importance.

Faculty: The faculty are very good. Almost all of them have done their higher studies. Most of them have done their Ph.D. as well. They use projectors to explain the concepts to the students properly. After this course, all the students will be industry-ready.

Great college with good placements.

Placements: Whenever I come to this college, I recall all my memories. This college has a very good placement cell. The highest package provided in this course is around 15 LPA. The starting package is around 3 to 3.5 LPA. Internships are provided in the final year.

Infrastructure: With good experience, I can say any student who studies at this college will surely enjoy the ambiance. There are separate labs for each subject. There is a hospital located near the college itself. The mess food was very tasty, with many kinds of varieties.

Faculty: The faculty of this college are very friendly and helpful. They prepare notes as well as presentations on all the concepts. The teaching quality of this college is very good. The semester exams here are very easy to pass but only with good effort.

Good college and overall satisfied.

Placements: Placements are one of the most important things in a student's life. This college provides good placements for all the students. In the year 2023, this college will become autonomous with an A+ grade in NACC and AICTE. The highest package provided by this college is around 12 LPA.

Infrastructure: This college is famous for its infrastructure. There are separate blocks for each department. Each department has a separate HOD. There is an admin block situated inside the campus itself. This college has a huge auditorium. The hostels are very neat and clean.

Faculty: The faculty of any engineering college does not teach properly. But the faculty of this college focus on the overall development of every student. They help with both online and offline resources. The pass percentage at this college is around 80 every year.
