B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering - Batch of 2019

The best part is you can learn all kind of department oriented things by workshop.
Placements: In my batch around 80 students placed out of 120. Their monthly package was about 40k to 1lakh. The major recruitment companies are Zoho TCS CTS INFOSYS Tech Mahindra HCL Aricent The lowest salary offered by the company is around 25k. Around 60students get internships from Infosys CTS HCL Aricent.
Infrastructure: Campus is surrounded by nature. Full of trees. There are six departments offered by this college IT, MECHANICAL, EEE, ECE, BIOTECHNOLOGY, CS, Civil. All college student can access the Wi-Fi provided by their studying department. There is a separate building for the library you can access it from 8Am to 7pm. The hostel is good compared to outside food, hostel food is better. There will be 1 doctor and 2 helping nurses available for 24*7. College fully supports sports and games.
Faculty: The faculty are kind and helpful. The staff will be available in their cabin from 9am to 7pm. The will readily teach for their students who have asked doubt. There is no harsh staffs in my department. One main thing is you have to obey the staffs and college rules.

Review of Mepco Schlenk Engineering College.
Placements: Placements are good since it is a well-reputed college in southern Tamil Nadu. The college has a tie-up with leading MNCs assuring students 100% placement. The number of students in my senior batch placed is less than our batch, which shows the brand of this college. The average salary package offered was 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college promotes 'go green campus' where Hi-Fi connectivity makes college campus compares to IITs and NITs. All the classrooms have been monitored and projected with smart classroom setup. Labs are clean. Separate hostels are maintained and well-deserved for both boys and girls, which feels like heaven.
Faculty: All the faculty members are PhD holders, and still, some are pursuing PhDs which denotes the brand of this college. Teaching methods are similar to NPTEL online teaching, where videos are recorded while teaching and separate logins are provided for students. Courses are similar as per Anna university norms.
Other: It is a highly broad campus makes a decent atmosphere. Fiest is a notable event of this college. Sports players may find their skills in various games like cricket, football, hockey, handball, basketball, etc.

It is a good college for toppers.
Placements: Placements for our batch was good compared to senior batch. Almost 90% of students got placed from our batch. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 15,0000 per month. The highest salary offered was Rs. 40,000 per month, and it depends on companies as well as our knowledge. Companies like CTS, Wipro, etc., visited our campus for placements. You should have a 75% aggregate to get an internship. The stipend offered for internships is Rs.15,000 to 20,000.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. The campus is clean and green. There are classrooms, library, medical, etc. and it is very nice. The quality food is available in the canteen. Hostel and mess are good, and the surrounding area is clean. The food served in the hostel is very good.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. But the college is concerned about marks and college reputation. The college provided industry exposure. Most of the students want a tour, but it is provided here. Its allow only industry. The college is autonomous, so no worry about the course curriculum.

Dissatisfied with the attitude of faculty members, management and the placement officer.
Placements: Placements in our college are good. Almost 70% of the students were placed last year. Companies like Aricent, Wipro, TCS, CTS and Zoho visited the college. Roles such as programme assistant trainee and developer were offered by the companies. Around 30-40% of the students got internships. There is a placement cell in our college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. There are 6 departmental blocks with Wi-Fi and every required facility. But everything is limited. Food provided in the canteen is not worth the money. The hostel is like a jail, but the rooms are neat. There were infrastructure-related issues that more systems and labs are required.
Faculty: Teachers are very well-qualified. They are helpful. Most of the faculty members are PhD holders. They use lots of teaching methods such as smart class, PPTs, chalk and talk. No industry exposure is provided in our college. The course curriculum is good. It does not make us eligible to take GATE exams or other competitive exams.
Other: Extracurricular activities are very few in our college. Events are celebrated just for name sake.

I didn't exaggerated anything.
Placements: Average placements like any tier 1 college. Mostly IT companies recruit in 100s, for core company you have to work little hard. Friendly placement officer, location maybe the only concern. Good placement training was given to students. No need to worry much.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure and match with any college in state. Hostel are really in best of quality. Computer and core engineering laboratories are maintained with at most care. Playground and canteen are maintained very well. Cricket ground is in good condition.
Faculty: Some faculty members are good. Some doesn't match standards. Most importance was given to academics. Labs and practical are also carried out very well. Some won't award liberal grades. So faculty members are so specific about students discipline inside the class than mark.
Other: Good college if want to stay near your home in southern Tamil Nadu.

Fee is too much but strict in discipline.
Placements: Placement is good. Both core and software companies are visiting our campus and recruiting students. Many students get multiple placement offers and they are getting internships from companies. Also 8th semester course can be completed in 7th semester so that students can go for internships during their course time of 6 months. Placement training is provided by college and full support to students is provided for their benefit.
Infrastructure: College has a clean and green environment with hostels. Every department is good in aesthetics and also has clean drinking water (mineral water)and good food facilities. Hostel canteens are also hygiene and rooms well ventilated. Wi-Fi facilities are provided in both college and hostel premises. Mobile phones are BANNED inside college and hostel. Students can use landlines provided in hostel to contact only their parents. It is somewhat strict in this perspective. Sports is supported by college. Indoor stadiums gym and running ground are present.
Faculty: Faculty members are well educated and guide students in various projects. Tests are conducted monthly to improve students performance in the final exams. Course covers all the objectives for an engineer and also gives additional training for placements and moral value is ensured throughout the course time. Major topics for each domain is explored during the course time and teachers help in academics but any form of indiscipline will be strictly viewed.
Other: Extracurricular club activities are supported by college management. Cultural fest are not provided much importance. Education is the primary concern. Disciplinary actions are taken when students disobey rules and regulations of college.

Somewhat dissatisfied with the faculties, average placements in our batch, very good infrastructure
Placements: In our batch nearly 75% of students got placed. Previous batch placement percentage was higher when compared to us, as we attended placements during the time of recession. The highest salary was offered by voonik which is around 12l akhs per annum, mid range salary will be between 3 Lacs and 3.5 Lacs and the lowest salary was offered by some insurance company which is around 15k per month. Our major recruiters are cognizant and Infosys. Internship percentage will be very low, as the students who have taken fast-track course are only eligible for internship. Yes there is a placement cell. They will organize soft skill development trainings and aptitude trainings. They will make u placed in some company when u r coming out of the college.
Infrastructure: College has wi-fi connectivity, but the speed ll be very slow. Very big library over 1lakh books. College has a dispensary with a doctor, who ll be available 24x7. Much concentration will not be given for sports but the college has very big ground, an indoor badminton and volleyball court, a basketball court. Classrooms will be good with projectors and OHP. Food available in the canteen is cheap but we won't have choices to make in food. Quality of the good will be good some times and some time it will be very bad. Hostel rooms will be neat and good. NO MOBILE PHONES will be allowed in the hostel even basic model phones will not be allowed. No infrastructure related issues. College's infrastructure will be very good.
Faculty: Some faculty members will be friendly and some will show attitude. Some will just vomit what is written in the book, some other staffs will have very depth knowledge about the subject. In person teaching will be used mostly, some times we may have some video visuals. For 50 students we have one faculty. No we didnot get any industrial exposures as we were not allowed for Industrial visits. I-V is allowed only for 12 hours in which we can visit only small factories around our college.
Other: Campus is fully surrounded with trees. Scholarship will be provided if we score above 90% in internals and in semester examinations.

Dissatisfied with the placements on the college.
Placements: The placement was poor for our batch, and they have restricted us in attending the other companies if we have already got placed in a company. We have not thought that it will affect our career much. But now I am jobless because of what they have done. The average salary is 3.25 LPA, and the lowest salary is Rs. 12,000 per month. The students who get the internship are lucky, and they are secured with their job.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in our college is good. There are practical labs and the computer labs in our college, and we utilise the lab properly. The Wi-Fi facility is poor, and we have a proper credential for accessing the college Wi-Fi, and most of the websites are blocked. Only you can access the Gmail, and it will also be at break times. The medical facilities are good. I have not heard a word like sports in 4 years. The hostel rooms are spacious and clean, but the food is not up to the level. The canteen food is costly. Mobile phones are strictly not allowed to the campus.
Faculty: In the case of faculty members, only experienced ones teach well, and there is a lot of partiality and the caste problems. The students, who acquire technical skills are a few. The blackboard teaching was used there, and sometimes projectors were used. There is no industry exposure on the college. I wonder that the college has the course curriculum. Only a few faculty members interact with the students freely, and most of the others are strict and not easy to interact with.
Other: This is for the parents, and if you think your child will get disciplined if you join him/her in this college, then you are looser. You are going to spoil the precious college life and career of your child. Do not do that, let the choice be theirs. Because of the rules they have laid only the students get pressured, they won't be disciplined. They are urged to do more wrong things. There will be no exposure in that college, and when your child comes out of the college, they will be nerdy, who can't interact with the people casually.
