The admission process at MIT Institute of Design (MITID) is divided into three phases. Below are complete details of the MITID admission process:

MIT Institute of Design Application Process

For admission at MIT Institute of Design (MITID), the process begins with filling out the application form through MITID’s official website by giving the required personal and academic details and paying an application fee of INR 3,000 for Indian nationals and INR 4,500 for PIO, NRI, OCI and foreign nationals. The institute releases the admit card after verifying the application forms.

MIT Institute of Design Selection Process

After completing the application process, candidates will be required to appear for the MITID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) in which applicants will be evaluated on several parameters and based on their performance in the DAT they will be shortlisted for the Studio test & Personal Interview (PI) rounds.

MIT Institute of Design Final Seat Allotment

Candidates who qualify for both rounds will be required to report to the admission cell at MIT Institute of Design (MITID) will have to report to the admission cell at MITID for document verification and tuition fee payment leading to final seat allotment.

MIT Institute of Design PhD eligibility criteria is as below:

• MDes/ M.Arch/ MTech/ M.E/ MCA with 60% aggregate at least
• MBA or equivalent with relevant studies in Design field and Bachelor's degree in any field with 60% marks at least
• PG Diploma in Design (NID/ CEPT or equivalent) with first class at UG level
• MFA/ MVA with 70% marks at least

As admissions to the courses offered at MIT Institute of Design, Pune is entrance-based, students are required to appear for the accepted entrance tests and secure a valid score in the exam. For its BDes and MDes programme admissions, the institute conducts MITID Common Entrance Test.
