MITID admissions are divided into two stages: the MIT DAT (Design Aptitude Test) and the Studio Test and Personal Interview. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to the second step, which will consist of studio tests followed by personal interviews at the MITID campus in Pune, based on their MIT DAT results.

Des. in Interior Space and Furniture Design at MIT Institute of Design is a 2 years course at the PG level. The course offers admission to 150 students. 150 students can do an M.Des at MIT Institute of Design for a year respectively. MIT Institute offers an entrance exam for around 250 to 300 hundred students. So at least 150 students get a seat in the MIT Institute of Design.
