MITS: a gem for biotechnology lovers.
Placements: Placements take place in this college after the final year. Many multinational companies like Wipro, Capgemini, Deloitte, Infosys, etc., come and hire in our college. Packages are around 4-5 Lacs per annum. Internships in eminent institutes are also offered.
Infrastructure: Hostels are provided for each and every student. There is a bus service from college to the hostel. Almost 60,000 is the annual fee, including food facilities. Hostel rooms are spacious and generally clean. Canteen foods are typically regional and usually edible.
Faculty: Faculty members in this institute are well-experienced and student-friendly. The faculty-student ratio is impressive. Semester exams are moderately challenging. The course curriculum emphasizes the applied aspects of biotechnology. A significant percentage of students pass in the semester exams.

Dissatisfied because of management and infrastructure but has good placements in 2022.
Placements: Around 50% of students got placed in various companies, mostly IT companies. I got placed in Infosys. Deloitte, Infosys, and Capgemini were among the top recruiting companies. Top roles offered were system associate, data analyst, etc. Packages offered mostly were around 2.3 LPA.
Infrastructure: There was no Wi-Fi service available in our college. There was nothing in the name of infrastructure. There was just one building that too was in place. There was no playground or anything. This college was situated in a very small area. A simple canteen was there which was not spacious. There were no provisions for games or anything. Hostel were horrible, literally horrible. I am talking about girls hostel we had to clean our rooms every day.
Faculty: Some of the teachers were so good. They were so knowledgeable and very understanding. They were ready to listen to our problems and sliced them. But some teachers were not at all good. We never were able to understand what they were teaching. The course curriculum was not very relevant to biotechnology field. They mostly prepared us for IT companies.
Other: I chose this course as it was developing at that time. As of now, it is one of the most important sectors to be prepared especially after Corona pandemic. Fests were arranged in alternative years. We had a lot of fun there. We performed and enjoyed a lot.

Dissatisfied with the college academics and placements.
Placements: Talking about placement, nearly half of the students got placed, but none were placed at a higher package. Most of the students got placed at a BT company whose package is not good and whose job profile doesn't match the course. The average package is Rs. 2 lakh per annum. The highest package is Rs. 4 lakh per annum.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not in good condition. There are very few rooms, which are too small. Wi-Fi and a library don't exist. Bathrooms are in the worst condition, and labs are too small. Very poor campus. The hostel is in a small building with poor food quality. No sports games were conducted.
Faculty: No extra curricular activities are done. Teachers are not interested in teaching. The syllabus is never completed. No prior notice of semester exams is given for preparation, and no notes are provided by faculty members. Exams conducted are moderate. The pass percentage is 33%.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of worse management, faculty, worse management.
Placements: Lot of students were placed in different companies such as Deloitte, Capgemini etc. The highest package was 3.2 lakh per annum. Placements were good and are conducted in proper manner. Top recruiting companies were Deloitte, Capgemini, Tata consultancy etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very poor. No Wi-Fi available, no decent library, classrooms were not properly maintained. Very poor infrastructure and management. Hostel was even worse, no proper management for waste food dispersal, food quality is very bad, no medical facilities.
Faculty: Some teachers were knowledgeable and some of the teachers were helpful. Notes were give to us and it was helpful but some notes given were difficult to understand. But in last semester many units of some subject were not complete and we have to give exam of our own. Semester exams are average and pass percentage was above 70%.
Other: Biotechnology is new and interesting and it is still developing in India. But this college should really improve because my experience was worse.

    Good college and placement.
Placements: Almost all students get placed. Capgemini, LTIMindtree, etc., recruit students from the last few years. Many more companies like Infosys and Wipro do campus drives here. The highest package was 18 Lacs in a US company, and 2 students were selected from our college.
Infrastructure: Hostel (girls) rooms have attached bathrooms, and they maintain cleanliness. The food is okay, not so good, and it depends on the day. The library is maintained properly. Labs have important equipment that is needed for conducting experiments. The canteen is not so spacious.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They are very knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant, but we need to study on our own. The pass percentage is 33%. Students below it have to appear for a back paper. I think it makes students industry-ready as it provides guidance to students accordingly.
