B.FTech. in Apparel Production (Lateral Entry)

For BFTech course admission, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the college. Aspiarnts should pass Class 12 from any recognised state/national board. The admission criteria for the course is NIFT + PI + Counselling. The FINAL score of NIFT 2025 for the other programs will be prepared by giving weightage to the written exams and Situation Test/ Personal Interview.

For admission to BFTech course at NIFT Gandhinagar, students need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. The selection criteria for this course are NIFT + PI + Counselling and candidates must pass Class 12 from any recognised state/national board. Candidates who have not completed Class 12 are not eligible for admission.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Gandhinagar total tuition fee for the BFTech course ranges between INR 6.1 lakh-INR 12.3 lakh. To get admission in NIFT Gandhinagar, candidates need to apply online through the official website of NIFT. However, admissions are based on a valid score obtained in NIFT entrance exam.

NIFT Gandhinagar offers scholarships to meritorious students. Currently, it offers two scholarships schemes, which are listed below:

• Udaan-NIFT Scholarship Scheme for Foreign Studies: Under this scholarship, the students are offered allowance/ financial assistance depending on the country where they seek admission in design courses.
  
• NIFT Sarthak: This scholarship waives 50% to 100% of the tuition fees of the students depending on their gross family income.

NIFT is a national-level design entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).The exam is conducted once every year and has TWO parts:

• Written Exams - It comprise the GAT and CAT. The GAT paper is mandatory for all programs, while only B.Des and M.Des candidates need to take the CAT. 
• Situation Test/ Personal Interview - B.Des candidates who get shortlisted have to appear in the Situation Test, whereas PG candidates need to appear in a Personal Interview. The only exception is B.F.Tech program, where the admission merit list will be prepared solely based on GAT scores.    

The FINAL score of NIFT 2025 for the other programs will be prepared by giving weightage to the written exams and Situation Test/ Personal Interview.

The National Instituite of Fashion Technology will release the NIFT 2026 at the time of seat allotment and counseling.

The cut-offs will be available institute and category-wise for all the program at nift.admissions.nic.in.

The cut-offs will be prepared by considering factors like the seat intake, the merit rank of candidates, admission category, etc. Note that if the seat intake is increase the cut-off would likely go down and vice versa.
