NIFT Chennai BDes Highlights 2026
National Institute of Fashion Technology Chennai admissions are currently open. NIFT Chennai offers admission to a four-year Bachelor's degree course in design. BDes course is offered across six specialisations, some of the popular ones are Fashion Design, Accessory Design, Fashion Communication, etc. Apart from that, students can also get admission to NIFT Lateral Entry course. Admission to BDes at NIFT is done through a national-level NIFT entrance exam which includes two written exams, i.e., the Creative Ability Test (CAT) as well as General Ability Test (GAT). The final selection is based on the candidate’s performance in the situation test which comprises Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) round.

NIFT Kolkata BDes admission cycle has commenced with the release of NIFT Entrance Exam dates. As admission to this UG course is based on merit in the entrance test.
