The NIFT 2026 registration window is now closed. With a late fee of INR 5,000, candidates were apply online until Jan 19. Further, the phase 1 exam was held on  Feb 8, 2026. 

NIFT 2024 tentatively in the 1st week of November 2023. The application form will open online at niftadmissions. In. The National Institute of Fashion Technology will also release the detailed admission notification, including the eligibility criteria, at the time of release of the application form or sometime thereabout. Candidates who meet the precribed eligibility criteria for their programme can fill out the NIFT 2024 application form before the last date. Note that NIFT application form will be for admission to the B. Des, M.Des B.FTech M.FTech and MFM courses offered by participating colleges.

NIFTEE 2026 is to be conducted on February 08, 2026. Written tests comprised a General Ability Test (GAT) and a Creative Ability Test (CAT). GAT is mandatory for all candidates, but CAT is only required for B. Des and M. Des candidates. 

GAT test will be considered in a computer-based mode, whereas the CAT will be offline based. Note that scores of the written exams will be used to shortlist candidates for a Situation Test/ Personal Interview.

After the selection stage, students with admission offers to NIFT Mumbai BDes courses must pay the fees to secure their admission. As per official sources, the annual tuition fees to pursue a BDes range from INR 5.6 Lacs to INR 12.3 lakh.

As per the available cutoff data, the last round closing rank for BDes admissions 2024 ranged from 65 to 654 for the general category candidates belonging to All India Quota seats.
