Overall, the experience was average with really low placements. Faculty are student friendly.
Placements: Well, the placements in our college are not that good. During our batch, no mechanical company came to our college for direct placements. In fact, we were sent to different colleges for pool campus placements. To sum up, the placements are far below than par. You should have the luck factor to get placed, and I was lucky enough to get placed in Pinnacle Infotech via pool campus. Overall, the placement percentage for mechanical was not more than 20%.
Infrastructure: The college campus is very big. If you really want a lust green and blissful campus, NITMAS is the right place for you. From having several hostels to swimming pools and gymnasium, you will also have 2 huge grounds to play. The campus is future ready with high-tech equipment.
Faculty: Well, If you want to enjoy your college life, NITMAS is the right place for you. If you really want cool and helpful faculty members, then go for mechanical engineering. The faculty members are highly educated and have extraordinary skills which can make you understand your subject in a precise manner.
Other: Besides your educational courses, you will have several activities that go on inside the campus. From the cultural fest to sports events, you have varieties of events where you can participate and enjoy your college days. The entire campus has high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity. Students are less in number because of the location of the college.

Waste of time as well as money. Choice is yours.
Placements: Placement is wrost. Till now. No mechanical company has arrived our campus and Last 1 month is left with us to complete our B.Tech. It not only for mechanical engineering student. It's for all departments of our college. Some company does come to our college and offer 10k per month including 7days of work in a week. It's a maximum salary student offered of mechanical engineering.
Infrastructure: It is very good. Big campus. Big building. Have playground. Hostel inside our campus. Swimming pool is also available. Gymnastics is also available. Wi-Fi is available. Library is also available. Medical facility is available. Mess food is good as compared to other hostel.
Faculty: Teacher is helpful. Highly qualified as well. Teaching quality is good. Good number of faculty available. Workshop is maximum for the students. Student to faculty ratio is 10:1. no industry exposure. To study in this college is just like throwing up your time as well as your hard earned money in Sea.
Other: No event. It is wrost than school days. No fest. Campus crowd is minimum. Because very less number of students studies here. College is far away from the town. It takes more than an hour from the city areas to go to the college. Campus is in a village. So u can understand about surrounding. Scholarship no idea. Never heard about this in this college. Extracurricular activities once in a year.

A good and healthy engineering college with lots of unorthodox streams that are also available.
Placements: Talking about placements, our college stands at average when compared to other engineering colleges in Bengal. There are a lot of IT companies that visit the campus like Wipro, Infosys and others and many other small startups as well. Talking about placements in core industry, I would say it is not up to the mark, but the college does conduct many pool campus drives where students get placed. On a scale of 10, I would rate my college placement cell as 7.5. The average salary from the college campusing is 3 lakhs per annum.
Infrastructure: If you are from Bengal, you will finally know there is no college in Bengal which has such a big and lush green campus. We have a total of 32 acres of campus with 3 big fields, 1 administrative building, 5 scholastic buildings, with the best laboratory facilities and a central library where you get more than enough books, journals and e-journals. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Lots of sports activities are held and students are champions in that as well.
Faculty: The faculty members of the college are very helpful not only in studies, but also in solving your personal problems. They are ready to understand any problem that you are going through. They have very innovative ideas for projects and do their best to get the best out of the students. Many of the them have an industry background, which will help the students in the long run.

NITMAS|TNU - An overview: What you need to know - At a glance
Placements: It was good. About 60% students were placed in good companies. As the mechanical department was started in 2011, only 2 batches have graduated till now. Most of the recruitment was in the core section and the rest in software companies like Infosys and Wipro. Altogether, the placements were good.
Infrastructure: The college has a very good infrastructure. It has all the amenities required for students for not only academics but also complete personal development. Well built dormitories, good canteen food, playground, swimming pool, gymnasium, health unit, sophisticated labs and seminar room, a large auditorium and mechanical workshop, ATM just at the main entrance are present. The campus is lush green with lots of open space. There are two in campus shops which provide items needed for day to day life and also a snacks corner (Tea Junction) for catching up with friends after the day classes. It also has a ship on campus for Marine Engineering and Nautical science students.
Faculty: The faculty members here are best at what they do. The lab technician is very helpful to get you accustomed with the working of the machines and guide to help you if you face any difficulty. It has a huge library, book bank and reading room with internet facility for the students to get up to date with their course curriculum.
Other: The only difficulty is to reach here, as the campus is situated about 50kms out of the city (Kolkata) and the only option is private buses running between Esplanade and Diamond Harbour. You may take local trains from Sealdah to Diamond Harbour. It takes almost 2 hours to reach here. The management is very restrictive, but if you can state your point they may be very supportive as well. The fee structure is a bit higher than other colleges of this tier, but the facilities provided by it are better than rest of them.
