Average placements and bad campus life. No fests are conducted.
Placements: About 80-85 percent of students in my batch got placed in the last placement cycle. The highest package is around 22 LPA, the lowest package is approximately 2.8 LPA-3 LPA. The average package is roughly 4 LPA-5 LPA but honestly the placements are not that good as most of the students get below 4 LPA which is considered below average when you are doing B.Tech in CSE.
Infrastructure: Labs are good and the library is spacious but overall the infrastructure is average. We don't have any boys hostel it's only for girls hostel. Wi-Fi has no speed it's better to use 5G mobile data and Wi-Fi range is also very small only in our main building, ground, and first floor. Bare minimum medical and sports facilities are provided only for the sake of providing them.
Faculty: Many students find that teachers are not so helpful, supportive, and are not able to explain concepts clearly. They are approachable before exams as they give some topics and sample papers. We only pass exams and gain no knowledge. Some students mention language barriers (teachers using Bengali in class).

I am satisfied with the good environment and faculty members.
Placements: 75 percent of students got placed in our college. There is a maximum placement rate in the mechanical branch. The highest and average salary packages are offered in the AI ML branch. The highest package offered ranges between 20-25 LPA. But some students also got a package of 1 crore per annum off-campus.
Infrastructure: Labs are good. Wi-Fi works well, but sometimes it's slow due to heavy use. The library contains books related to our courses, but many other books are also there. Girls' hostels are on campus, but boys' hostels are outside of campus. A bus is provided for hostel students. The canteen is good, and the medical facilities are also appreciable.
Faculty: I am a first-semester student. So I have no idea about the semester exams, but as per seniors, it is approximately between medium and hard. If anyone pushes themselves, then they can achieve whatever they want. The college provides everything that they need. It's upon them. I don't know much about our core faculty members, but as per my experience, some faculty members whom I got during my first semester are really good, and some are really inexperienced.
Other: Everyone has opportunities in different fields, whether it's sports, extracurricular activities, entrepreneurship, or studies. No doubt it's a really good private college, but we need to push ourselves.

The best thing about the college is teachers who support us in everything.
Placements: The highest package offered ranges from 12-15 LPA. The lowest package offered ranges from 3.5-4 LPA (typical for mass recruiters. The average package offered ranges from 5-6 LPA. Good students will have to prepare for off-campus if they want more packages. I recommend students prepare for off-campus placements. About 40 percent of students got internships.
Infrastructure: The campus is the best among private colleges in Kolkata. It has an AC library and laboratories for departments like ECE and CSE. Classrooms are well-organised, and most lack air conditioning. Wi-Fi is not good on the campus. The canteen is really good. Sports and games are well played.
Faculty: Teachers are really good and supportive. They are always ready to help us. They even provide their personal number and are always ready for revision classes. Semester exams are not that tough. The pass percentage is 75 percent or above. Surprise tests are conducted, so if we miss the college, the test is missed. If we are not able to give some practical exams, then we can inform the college, and they will help us with it and retake our exam. Faculty members are highly qualified and helpful for competitive exams like GATE, though they strictly enforce a 75 percent attendance policy and frequent tests.

Overall, when compared to other similar colleges, our college surely provides better placement opportunities than those, but it doesn't even imply that there isn't any scope for improvement.

The Heritage Institute Of Technology review and summary about the college all total.
Placements: The placement this year has been pretty bad. 68% of students from our course were placed. The average this year was about 4 LPA, the lowest I think was about 3 LPA, and the highest was 10 LPA. Internships are very personal, and you have to get them on your own. The college doesn't help you get any.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi is pretty choppy around the campus. Only the library has decent Wi-Fi (about 20mbps). You'll find just one switchboard in any classroom, and it is generally reserved for projectors. Even the library doesn't have any switchboards, so taking your laptop, especially for gaming, is impossible. Girls have decent hostels, which are quite expensive, plus the food is very average and sometimes even bad. There are no boys' hostels on the campus. The canteen is quite expensive, but the food is pretty good. The sports here are pretty decent but limited. You can get selected for the college team.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and help you in your studies if you reach out, but I prefer studying online. The course doesn't prepare the students for the industry, but I don't think it's just this college. It's the fault of the entire education system. The semester exams are not that difficult, and you can pass and get a good CGPA easily. The thing is, you will get time here to develop yourself, as you are given time for that. You don't need to spend your entire day in college, and that is amazing in my opinion.

In the first semester, I had high expectations from the college.
Placements: 60 percent of students are placed on campus. The highest on campus is 11.2 LPA and off campus is 1.33 CPA. The percentage of internships was very less. Software Engineer was among the top roles offered in the course. Also, the number of companies coming to HITK has reduced from previous years.
Infrastructure: The college campus is not too big. No boys’ hostel is available. Wi-Fi is there but only in the library. Sports facilities are not up to the mark. First-year students can take their laptops to the library (but not everybody follows this rule). Some classrooms are good, and some are tiny.
Faculty: Some of the faculty members are really very good. But the main problem is many of the faculty members speak Bengali 70 percent of the time, which makes it difficult for other state students to understand. Also, if some student is participating or representing the college in some event, and there is a class test, the teacher would not listen to you and would just take the class test (personally I have experienced this).
Other: Coming to the campus life, there are no fests or other big cultural events. Some events keep happening, but they are conducted by the students themselves. Coming to the crowd, there are some really good people, but they are very limited. Also, to find those you will need to work a bit, but you will find them out.
