Nirmala College, Chalakudy.

Placements: Placements were comparatively less for this institution. Only a few IT companies visited and offered some roles to the students. Only 1% of students got placed from this institution per year. The highest stipend offered was rupees 8000 and the lowest was rupees 4000.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure was too weak as compared to other engineering colleges across Kerala. No Wi-Fi facility and poor medical facilities. The horrible thing was that there was no hostel in the college campus and the management was sending distant students to a private hostel which was located 15 kms away from the college. Thankfully, the classrooms were far better which resembles a UP school and the laboratory facilities were somewhat adjustable.

Faculty: Experience with the faculty members was better than that of with management. They used good teaching methods, like they provided additional notes to students and also, they were well qualified and knowledgeable. Students didn't get industrial exposure due to the over-control of the college management.

Other: After completing 4 years here, I just felt like coming out of a prison. The management was only interested in making money, for that they introduced more rules and regulations. Special fees was collected from the students for conducting sports, arts and other cultural events. I personally recommend others to not to join this institution.

Review of Nirmala College of Engineering.

Placements: In our college, the chance of placements were very high. Many companies in different fields visit to take excellent students in their company. Different companies conduct interviews for students who had gained marks greater than 50%.

Infrastructure: College hostel fee was Rs 5,000 per month. There was a good atmosphere with good food and single rooms. It was maintained by the college itself. The hostel was a bit strict. There were rules and regulations which the students had to follow.

Faculty: Faculty members were good. They had great knowledge of their respective subjects and were experts in sharing them with the students. I liked their attitude a lot in always having a mentality to clear any doubts at any time.

I am absolutely dissatisfied, and I wasted my 4 years of life here.

Placements: None of the students got placed in a company related to the field of mechanical engineering. Our college provides campus placements in mess recruiters, and the college never supported students to get a job. Our college mainly cares about its financial benefits and marketing. The satisfaction of students was below average.

Infrastructure: There was no hostel facility, and our college had the worst infrastructure I have ever seen in my whole life. Labs were not well-equipped, and the quality of the machines provided was very poor. There was no proper electricity supply every time, and the top floor of our college was very hot during summers.

Faculty: Faculty members here were nice, and even some of them were very nice. But most of the faculty members were not experienced and were not up to the standards. I came here from a very good school, and I found it very difficult to cope with bad faculty members in our college. It was a waste of time and money to join here.

Other: The college was strict, and there was no campus life.
