NIT Kurukshetra MTech is a two-year postgraduate degree programme divided into four semesters and offered full-time. The course is taught through eight departments across 19 specialisations. The basic eligibility criteria required by the institute to get admission to MTech at NIT Kurukshetra is candidates must achieve a minimum of 60% aggregate or equivalent in BTech degrees. Additionally, NIT Kurukshetra MTech admissions are based on GATE scores followed by CCMT counselling.

Their is only a minor difference in the tuition fee for the courses offered by NIT Kurukshetra and NIT Silchar. Both institutes offer the same scholarships as each other.
