Diploma is a three-year course divided into six semesters. NMIT Bangalore offers six Diploma courses after Class 10, namely Civil Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science Engineering. Admission for Diploma is through Management Quota only.

Admission to Diploma is course is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Candidates who have passed SSLC or equivalent examination with at least 35% aggregate are eligible to apply for Diploma after Class 10 courses. Nitte University conducts NUCAT or Nitte University Common Admission Test for admission to BTech, MTech, MBA ad MCA courses. The test is conducted for 120 minutes in online mode.
