Absolutely satisfied with the college.

Placements: Almost 60% of the 2023 passout batch had been placed in various companies. The average package at NMAMIT is 4 LPA. The highest was 42 LPA, and the lowest was 2.5 to 3 LPA. The top companies that came for recruiting were Accenture, Allegion, Bosch, Capgemini, LTI Mindtree, Cognizant, Samsung and many more. 40% of the students got internship opportunities. The top roles offered were GET, analyst, software engineer, tester and many more.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure at NMAMIT are of good standard. A green campus with lots of biodiversity. Speaking about the ELC department, the labs and the classrooms are well-equipped with the latest technologies. The boys hostel is nearby the playground and various sports complexes, with some amount of time and coaching for extracurricular activities. The girls hostel is in and around the main college campus.

Faculty: The lecturers at NMAMIT are well qualified, with most of them having doctorate degrees in their respective fields. The course curriculum is very relevant and provides good theoretical and practical knowledge. The semester exams are easy to moderate, with questions asked based on what was taught in the curriculum. The pass percentage is about 90% in a batch of 200 students.

Other: I chose this course because of the good faculty in the ELC department. The placements were pretty decent but core companies are hard to get into due to the limited number.

Review of NMAM Institute of Technology.

Placements: Placements are good in our college. You will get placed only if you are good in aptitude and have proper domain knowledge related to electronics if you prefer core. Samsung recruited students with a salary package of 22 LPA. If you prefer IT, you should be good at DSA. So overall, it's your effort that matters because the placement department brings various companies on board for recruitment with a salary package of 3 LPA - 40 LPA. It depends on students' ability to crack the company assessment and interview to avail of good salary packages. More than 200 companies visited our college for recruitment along with mass hiring companies.

Infrastructure: Our college provides good facilities like a hostel, food, a canteen, medical facilities, sports, etc. All classrooms, a library, and labs are well-equipped. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. For placement-related activities, our college provides high-speed internet. If you have any issues, the respective department will help you.

Faculty: Teachers are good and well-qualified. Notes are also uploaded to the online moodle platform. The curriculum is up to date. Semester exams are easy, but sometimes external papers will be difficult. About 70% of students pass exams. You must refer to previous years' question papers to pass exams. You should do well in internals.

It is a good college with amazing faculty, great facilities, good placements and hostels.

Placements: Around 60% of students got placed in our course, from 200 students who enrolled for it. The highest package offered in our course was 24 LPA, the lowest package was around 2 LPA, and the average package was 4-5 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Infosys, Accenture, Winman, Mindtree, Mindtech, Bosch etc. According to our college rules, all the students had to do one internship compulsorily, so we all did atleast one. Paid internships were also available for people with good scores. Paid internships were given to almost 20% of students. Since we were able to go to both software and hardware companies, top roles offered were front end engineer, VLSI engineer, backend engineer, electronics engineer etc.

Infrastructure: All the required infrastructure and facilities were available in our college, like lights, fans, air-conditioners, benches, desks, auditorium, indoor and outdoor playgrounds, labs, classrooms, good washrooms, very good library etc. The food in the hostel is top-notch as we need to pay the bill in advance. The food is amazing, with all the desserts available.

Faculty: The teachers were amazing at teaching. They were really encouraging and helpful throughout the course and inspiring us. Many teachers gave real-world examples while teaching and incorporated some latest tech advances too. Their teaching quality was superb. The course contains various coding languages, electronic subjects, which helps students in the field. Of course, the teachers taught the subjects very clearly. Overall, the staff and the course make the students industry-ready, although they have to put in some extra works. The semester exams are pretty decent, to be honest. It all depends on who sets the question papers. The exams are okay, but if the question papers are external, then it would be a little tough. The pass percentage is 40%, so you need to score at least 40 marks to pass a subject.

Other: I was always interested in electronics, so I opted for this course. The best thing is that we were able to study both software and hardware concepts of the electronics field. Some latest advancements would be really nice in our course, including some very nice practical sessions which are refreshing. There are lots of events happening in our college every year, or I would say regularly. There is a fest called Incredia conducted every year very grandly. The campus crowd is huge, with around 3000+ students. Good Wi-Fi connection is available for respective branches. The campus surrounding has lots of food stalls, restaurants, hostels, greenery etc. There are scholarship opportunities for students with good academics and students of backward classes such as Epass, MHRD etc. Extracurricular activities are a common theme in the college, as students themselves organize various activities.

Overall, our college is good for average students like whose rank is around 10,000 in CET.

Placements: From the electronics and communication engineering branch, around 50% of the students get placed every year. Top recruiters for our course are Cadence and Bosch. The highest salary package offered is 9 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 4.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3.3 LPA. Overall, placements are good here. In terms of placements, it is better to join in CS and IS branches. Those branches have better placements than EC.

Infrastructure: There are separate hostels for boys and girls. Wi-Fi facility is available for every student with limited speed. The hostel provides both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, and the quality of food is good. Sports and gym facilities are also available, but the library needs to be improved. However, our college canteen is good, and the college has well-equipped labs.

Faculty: Our department has highly qualified faculty members. Few of them are really helpful. The course curriculum is well to learn fundamentals, but for the industrial aspect, it needs to be improved more. There are some many clubs in the EC department only, and they are really helpful to us to get ready for the industry.

Placements: Around 95% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered was about 11 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Bosch, Dell, Nutanix, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro and many other companies. Entry-level roles are offered as an associate software developer.

Infrastructure: The library is very good, and there is the availability of a digital library as well. Classrooms are good. A lot of club activities are conducted in our college, and there is also a gym on the campus. The hostel is good. Food served is good at reasonable prices, and there are good restaurants like Forever and Kateel International nearby.

Faculty: Lecturers of electronics and communication department are very good. Most of them have good experience in the subject. They are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant.

Other: NMAMIT is one of the top 15 colleges in the state. Apart from NITK and Manipal, NMAMIT is the finest college in Dakshin Kannada district. It is an autonomous university, so there is no delay in exams which is a major problem with VTU colleges. About two major events are conducted every year named Technidarshan and Aanadotsav.
