With a 4 point grade point average (GPA) for each trimester or semester and the cumulative grade point average (CGPA) for all trimesters of semesters the NMIMS Hyderabad adopts  relative grading system there is no formula for translating CGPA to a percentage because grading is relative. 

Apart from providing quality education to the students NMIMS also organises various events at their campus . NMIMS focuses on making their students learn about the culture by organising various cultural events such classical music, classical dance, independence day celebration every year and many more .

NATA 2026 will be conducted from March 2026, to June 2026. The candidates will be able to attempt a maximum of three tests of NATA 2026 and the best score will be considered for admission. The exam will be conducted on designated Fridays and Saturdays, with one session on Friday and two sessions on Saturday. This test is conducted offline and is a computer-based test (CBT). The duration of the test is 180 minutes or 3 hours.

The students must try to retake the examination and also try to futher improve their performance or marks in that particular subject . Failing in internal examination can be somewhere acceptable but the student should not fail in the final examination as it may affect their placements .

NMIMS conducts the National Test For Programs After Twelfth (NPAT) to admit students to the courses like BCom (Hons), BBA, BSc, etc. To secure a seat to pursue BCom at the Hyderabad campus of the institute, candidates must appear for the NPAT exam. The NPAT exam syllabus for all the courses is identical. Candidates need to answer questions from Verbal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Reasoning while taking the NPAT exam.

NMIMS Hyderabad BCom (Hons) admission process includes steps like registration, application, entrance exam, merit listing and seat allotment. 1. 100% of the fee amount will be refunded if the candidate withdraws 15 days or more before the formally-notified last date of admission, after a 5% deduction towards the processing fee
2. 90% of the fee will be refunded if the candidate withdraws less than 15 days before the formally-notified last date of admission
3. 15 days or less after the formally-notified last date of admission. 
4. 50% of the of the fee will be refunded if the candidate withdraws 30 days or less, but more than 15 days, after being formally notified of admission
5. There is no refund in the event of withdrawal after more than 30 days from the formally notified last date of admission

BCom is considered a foundational course in the stream of commerce. The UG-level course opens career paths leading to private/government jobs in various industries, entrepreneurial ventures, further education with courses like MCom, MBA, etc. Some job positions that a BCom graduates of NMIMS Hyderabad can take up are listed below:

How hard it is to get admission to the course depends on a variety of factors. These factors are the difficulty level of the entrance exam, the number of applicants, the availability of seats in the selected course/specialisation. etc. Admission to the BTech programme of NMIMS Hyderabad is based on the N-CET scores. Seats are allotted to the candidates who manage to secure the required cut-off for BTech admission at the institute, provided they fulfill the eligibility criteria. The institute's BTech eligibility criteria are not very difficult to meet. A candidate must have passed Class 12 with at least 45% in physics, mathematics, chemistry, or vocational subjects to be eligible for the course. Admission to the BPharma programme offered at NMIMS Hyderabad is subject to the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria specifed by the institute.
