M.Des in Communication Design - Batch of 2025
4.6
5.0Placements5.0Infrastructure5.0Faculty4.0Crowd & Campus Life4.0Value for Money
More practical than I expected from a communication design course.
Placements: I joined the M.Des in Communication Design to build a strong portfolio and get into design roles. Placement support helps us get roles related to our field specifically, and companies like Accenture, IBM, and Walt Disney have recruited from Pearl, which gives us different options to choose from. I will be joining one of those companies soon.
Infrastructure: Most of our work happens around the studio and digital side of the course. We use Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign regularly and spend a lot of time working on projects. Most of the time, I work from campus labs only when I have bigger submissions to finish. I stay in a hostel, and the food quality is good. So my parents also don't worry about my eating habits.
Faculty: The course isn't just about making things look good. We have subjects like research, branding, typography, data visualisation, and UI. Faculty helps us understand the thinking behind the project and final output. Most of our evaluation is through projects and presentations, so I just need to be consistent with my work to keep learning.
Other: We get to attend industry sessions and workshops as part of the course. I like that these aren't only about design theory. We also get to hear how people working in the field approach briefs and present their ideas. There are also portfolio showcases where students get to put their work in front of industry professionals. The live and international industry projects are also very useful to us.

M.Des in Product Design - Batch of 2024
4.8
5.0Placements5.0Infrastructure4.0Faculty5.0Crowd & Campus Life5.0Value for Money
A good course if you enjoy working on products and prototypes
Placements: I completed my M. DES in Product Design in 2024 and got placed with a design company after graduation. I also did an internship during my final year that helped me get some practical experience. Some of my friends joined product companies. Some students went into design studios and freelance work. I was able to get a job soon after graduation because the placement team helped us with portfolio reviews and interview preparation.
Infrastructure: There was quite a lot of practice work in product design, so we regularly used the studio and Maker's Lab. We worked on physical models, prototypes, and different design projects. I stayed at home during college, but I would often stay back with my classmates during submission weeks to finish our work.
Faculty: Faculty members were supportive during our projects and would give feedback at different stages. We worked on design research, ideation, user understanding, and material and product development. Most subjects had assignments and projects along with presentations and juries.
Other: We had workshops, guest lecturers, and industry sessions during the programme. We also got to showcase our projects through a portfolio and interact with professionals. I found these sessions useful because we could get feedback on our work from people working in the design industry.

BBA in Global Luxury Brand Management - Batch of 2027
4.8
5.0Placements4.0Infrastructure5.0Faculty5.0Crowd & Campus Life5.0Value for Money
A good experience so far in luxury brand management .
Placements: I joined the BBA Global Luxury Management course because I was interested in fashion and luxury but didn't want to study design. I am still in the course, so placements are still a little far away. The seniors I have spoken to are working towards areas like luxury retail, marketing, and brand-related roles. They got placed at Ferrari, TOD's, Jimmy Choo, Dior, etc. Internship opportunities also start coming up as you progress through the course.
Infrastructure: We have bright classrooms and so many common areas where we work on presentations and group projects. I stay at my home, so I don't have any personal experience with the hostel. But many of my friends stay in the hostel, and they said that it is well-maintained and hygienic. The food served is also good.
Faculty: Faculty members on this campus are quite approachable. You can discuss your ideas with them during the classes and also while working on assignments. Our course curriculum includes luxury marketing, brand positioning, consumer behaviour, retail management, and understanding luxury customers. We have different assignments and case studies where we apply these concepts to actual brands. They give feedback on presentations and projects, so we get a chance to improve the work before submitting it. Evaluation is usually a combination of projects, presentations, class assignments, and exams, depending on the subject.
Other: Industry interaction has been one of the best parts of the course for me. We have guest sessions, masterclasses, and industry visits. You get the kind of skills you need after graduation. Listening to people who are already working in luxury gives you a clearer picture of the industry.

M.Des. in Fashion Design - Batch of 2024
4.8
5.0Placements5.0Infrastructure5.0Faculty5.0Crowd & Campus Life4.0Value for Money
Great exposure for fashion students with a strong focus on portfolio building.
Placements: I completed my M.Des in Fashion Design. Around 98% of students from our post-graduation batch got placed or landed good industry roles through their final semester internships. Others started their own ventures. Top lifestyle brands and export firms like Aditya Birla Fashion, Reliance Brands, Fabindia, and independent designer labels visited the campus. Most of us got roles as assistant designers, fashion merchandisers, or luxury retail consultants. Some of my batchmates interned with FDCI during Lakmé Fashion Week and India Couture Week. The on-campus placement drive was helpful.
Infrastructure: The fashion labs, sewing rooms, pattern-making studios, and Mac labs were spaces we used almost every week. Most assignments involved practical work, so access to these facilities was important. I stayed in the hostel nearby, which really helped me, as my roommates were very helpful and helped me become my best self. Overall, the hostel was decent, clean, and safe too. The campus facilities were well maintained. There were good collaborative spaces to work on projects with classmates.
Faculty: Faculty members were quite involved throughout the design process. They would review concepts regularly and push us to refine our work before final presentations. The curriculum covered everything from fashion illustration and garment construction to textiles, trend forecasting, and portfolio development. Most evaluation happened through submissions, collections, juries, and presentations. It could get hectic during deadline weeks, but that was where I learned the most. The faculty was also accessible beyond college hours and very supportive.
Other: This was probably the strongest part of the course for me. Students regularly got opportunities to present their work to industry professionals during showcases and reviews. This helped us understand industry expectations early on. I also saw a few students receive sport opportunities and internship discussions during these interactions.

B.Des in Interior Architectural Design - Batch of 2025
4.4
5.0Placements4.0Infrastructure4.0Faculty4.0Crowd & Campus Life5.0Value for Money
Good learning experience for interior design students
Placements: I was part of the B.Des Interior & architecture design batch(2023). By the final year many of my classmates had either secured placements or were containing with internships at interior design studios, architecture firms and design consultancies. The internships during the course were quite useful because they gave us a better understanding of how projects are handled in real work environment.
Infrastructure: We spent a lot of time in the design studios working on layouts, concepts, material boards and models. The campus has the facilities required for project work and classrooms are well maintained with wifi access campus. I stayed in the hostel during my course and had a positive experience. The rooms were comfortable, basis amenities were available and it was convenient being close to campus specially during submission periods when we had to spend extra hours working on projects. Since many students were from different cities, it was also easy to make friends and settle into college life.
Faculty: The faculty guided us throughout the course and were approachable whenever we needed feedback on our designs. The curriculum balances theory with practical learning so there is a lot of focus on studio work, presentations, site-related learning and portfolio development. Assessments are mainly through jury presentations, project submission and continuous evaluation. It feels challenging in the beginning but if you stay regular with your work and deadlines, it becomes manageable.
Other: I think the exposure we got during the course was quite helpful. Apart from regular classes, there were guest sessions, workshops and project review where industry professionals would come and share their experiences. Listening to people who are actively working in the field gave a different perspective compared to what we learned in class. we also got chance to showcase our work and receive feedback from people outside our faculty. This useful because it helped us understand how other look at our designs.

M.Des. in Fashion Design - Batch of 2026

4.0Placements5.0Infrastructure5.0Faculty4.0Crowd & Campus Life4.0Value for Money
Pearl Academy, first batch of M.Des Fashion Design, ongoing semester 2.
Placements: I have not reached that stage yet, just started my second semester. But I have heard from my seniors that based on your merit, placements are as promised. Roles offered could be design intern, stylist, merchandiser, textile designer, etc. 20.27 LPA is the highest offered package.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is great. Everything is as shown during the campus tour. I did not opt for the hostel, so I don't know about that. There isn't a textile lab, but there are three computer labs, one of which has all MAC computers. There is consistent Wi-Fi for students. The library is accessible and has a good collection. Classrooms are decent. The campus is continuously air-conditioned.
Faculty: Faculty members are really great. All of them come from experience, and it can be seen in their work and teaching methods. The course curriculum is relevant as it not only educates us about textile and design but also helps us learn about starting a business. The semester exams are medium in difficulty. The passing marks for both written and practical exams are 40 out of 100.
Other: I am a part of the first batch that will be getting a degree upon completing the course. There are a few administrative issues due to the involvement of a university, but other than that, it's like what any other college offers. 75% attendance is mandatory, and the staff is supportive. Initially, I had opted for the M.Des Fashion Communication course. Two to three days after paying the first semester fees, I got a call from the admin saying this course has been canceled for this year and advised me to opt for another course. Although it's working out for me, I feel this is important information.
