Poor Infra, Great Placements, Ideal place for bookworms, forget about sports.
Placements: We were 51 in our batch out of which 48 got placed that comes around 96%. The highest salary was offered by Amazon with an annual CTC of 16LPA and the lowest is by CTS which offered 4.5LPA. The average salary was around 5.5LPA. Tier1 recruiters for my course were Amazon, Goldman sachs, DE Shaw, Cisco, KLA tenkor, Microsoft. The roles offered by all the companies were predominantly same which was Software Development Engineer or Business Analyst. Around 80% of students did their final internship in the companies they were placed which includes the above mentioned and also with some mediocre companies like Accenture, MuSigma, Latent view and certain other startups.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pathetic in our college. You'll never know which lab you're going to use until some lab assistant comes and says so. One good thing about the infra is the Library. They have every book you can get in the market but there'll always be a huge queue waiting. I'm a day scholar so I can't comment on the hostel facilities but I heard it's good. Canteen food is out of the world when compared to other colleges. And about Sports you have to forget such thing exists once you step in to PSG.
Faculty: Any student from PSG will accept the fact that they have the best in class tutors from South india. Every tear they'll be changing the course curriculum just to make sure the students shouldn't struggle once they face the reality in the industry but just to be future proof they'll also add certain unnecessary electives which students won't understand at that point of time.
Other: I always wanted to be an engineer and computer professional were highly successful at that time. So that is what made me choose MCA. Before TANCET we used to have an internal selection process for MCA admission which brought in top notch people to the course and since the advent of TANCET the people who're opting for this course lacks certain capabilities which they fail to pick up during their course of time at PSG. So rigorous selection process might bring us back to the race especially when we are competing with thousands of engineers in the market. We have a lot of Events and Fests which will be conducted by every department. Some of the notable ones are LOGIN, KRIA, DRAMATIX and that was an ideal place for us to socialize with people and get to know more about the outside world.

Better quality of syllabus and knowledge.
Placements: The highest salary offered is Rs. 80,000 per month, the lowest salary offered is Rs. 20,000 per month. The standard range of companies come for placements. Students get internships in different companies. The students get placed in abroad or other states of the country.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, research labs and IBM labs are available, and multiple labs are also available 24 hours labs and 24 hours net facilities are available.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and helpful. They were very interactive with the students. They were very helpful for doing projects and extracurricular activities. The interaction between the students and the staffs is good.
Other: I chose this course to develop a software designing.

Satisfied because of good coaching and reasonable fee.
Placements: Now, I am in the pre-final year, so we are attending internship interviews. Robert Bosch's interview was just ended a few days back (as on 04-08-2017). They offered 9 months internship with a stipend of Rs. 15000 per month. After that, we had Microsoft internship interview. For the final year, the placement interview by 5 to 6 companies is over and the highest package is 24 LPA.
Infrastructure: We have lab permission from 8:30 am to 9 pm. In lab. We get internet facility in 30 computers per lab. We have permission up to 9 pm at CC lab and up to 6 am at IS lab. They have provided free Wi-Fi inside CC lab. We have a big library with all the books we need and a lot of computers with the internet connection. PSG hospital is there for medical help. We have an alumni fund, which will be given to the students in emergency cases. Free hostel is provided for the students.
Faculty: The lecture method is followed. The classes are taken with the help of the board or projectors. The staff members are highly qualified. In our department, the student to staff ratio is 180:24. For extra classes, faculty members from other departments also come for teaching. The staff members are experienced.
Other: According to the students of our department, PSG is our dream college, because most of us are from a poor background. PSG is the only big college taking students from TANCET and working with government allocated fees. Here, placement is not an issue. The competition is only for a big package and product companies.

Staff politics, no support from the department, and the labs need to improve.
Placements: In PSG, many companies visit for an on-campus interview but unfortunately, most of the companies are not open for MCA because they need to pay more for the students who have studied MCA. The department is also not very supportive at the time of placements. In my class, out of 60 students, only 15+ got placed in good companies and 40+ were placed in service based companies.
Infrastructure: Before 2014, there were no separate classrooms and there were only 2 labs for MCA department. After 2014, for MCA, we have 2 classrooms and 3 labs. But we don't have internet facility in the labs. If we have any doubt we need to clear it on our own. Two labs open from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm. That means we can use those labs only during the college working time. The third lab is only for the final semester students for their project.
Faculty: There are staff members with good knowledge and there are ones who don't know any thing about the subject. There is a lot of politics going on, if a student is good in front of a particular staff, they can get good marks in their subjects even if those students are not studying well.

Placed in the top 10 colleges in India.
Placements: Our college has the best placements in top-most placement companies like Dsha, Amazon and Microsoft. Our alumni are placed in good companies as well. Some companies like CTS, Wipro, Nokia, Samsung and start-up companies also visited for placemens. Many alumni are having thier own start-ups as well. Students have upto 1970 batch alumni contacts. Most of the senior alumni are in good positions.
Infrastructure: Our college has a technology and management block individually. In the technology block, all engineering and IT course departments are there. In the management block, BBA and MBA departments are there. Around technology block is 5-7 acres and the management block is 1-2 acres. After the management block, the hostel, the hostel groun and the college ground are situated of approximately 25 acres. Individual department labs are there with air-conditioner. Classrooms are with a fan. There is a department library and also the main library.

    Hi.

     RV College of Engineering
College provides facilities like Wi-Fi, smart classrooms with projectors, air-conditioned labs, and a spacious library.
The food quality of the canteen is good and we all know the quality of food in hostel mess, good enough to survive ( except for the monthly feast).
