A normal review on PSG College of Technology.
Placements: The top recruiting companies are L&D, Mag, Tata, etc. Only 30% of the students are recruited from this course. Forty percent of the students got internships related to this course. The roles offered for this civil engineering course are executive engineer, chief engineer, etc. The remaining students have to look for jobs in other IT companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the classrooms, hostel rooms, and laboratories is excellent. Wi-Fi is available, but the internet connection is poor. The cleaning service for the hostel rooms is very poor, yet they still collect cleaning fees. The taste of the food is not as good as on the first day. Medical facilities are available because they have PSG Hospital, but the fees are very high.
Faculty: The faculty members are well-qualified, holding doctorate degrees, and work for many hours. You can ask any doubts related to the course, and they will clear them up. The semester exams are neither too easy nor too difficult. The pass percentage is 50%. The college has many lab assistants to help students. There are two internal exams and one final exam. The total marks will be taken from internal assessments (40%) and the final exam (60%).
Other: I liked this course because it is not very stressful. The best aspect of this course is the fieldwork. The fests are good, and the campus crowd is very large. Scholarships are provided on time.

The review about PSG College of Technology.
Placements: Above 70 percent of students are placed. The average package is 5 LPA, and the maximum is 12 LPA for civil. The recruitment companies include Amazon, Infosys, HCL, etc. There are more opportunities for students to get placed; they need to focus on their skills because that is what leads to placements, so skill is very important.
Infrastructure: The hostel for both boys and girls has very good infrastructure, and there is a playground as well as rooms. The food is average, and on some days, it is not very tasty. In the rooms, there are 3 to 4 students. The college canteen is a little small, and medical facilities are available for free consultations at PSG Medical College.
Faculty: The faculty members are very helpful to us, and they work for the betterment of our lives. Some staff are very strict about our studies, but they also help us with our next steps after college life. The exams are easier because the teaching of faculty members is very good.
Other: There will be many events, but there are two big events: Intramurals and Hostel Day. Some extracurricular activities, like sports, are very good in physical education. Scholarships are also provided for your studies if you meet the eligibility criteria.

I'm blessed to get into PSG College of Technology as it proved my life-changing aspect.
Placements: Although placements for IT and CSE branch are very good with handsome packages ranging from 6 to 60 LPA. Core companies visit the campus for branches, like civil, mechanical, etc., and recruit students but with an average salary package of 5 to 20 LPA. The non-IT branches even get placements in IT and CSE companies if they have a basic knowledge of coding and aware at least one coding language.
Infrastructure: The overall buildup area is relatively less, but the building is compacted and high raised to provide enough space for nurturing, learning and availing various facilities. PSG Technology men's hostel is one of the best hostels in Tamil Nadu. The hostel consists of 14 six-storeyed blocks (A, B, C) including separate blocks for boys and girls. The mess food is famous over the area as it facilitates both North Indian and South Indian food. I am a North Indian students, so I was pretty satisfied with dining facilities. Canteens are available, but there is no need as the mess food is itself a good vibe. PSG hospitals provide medical facilities as PSG My Clinic, PSG Pharmacy, PSG Dental, etc., which are nearby the hostel. Sports and games are given first preference as PSG believes in nurturing talents of students. PSG Tech has a basketball court in which even national matches are organised.
Faculty: About 90% of faculty members in the department are PhD scholars, and most of them are from IIT's. The best part of my course is that the curriculum is in accordance with GATE and faculty puts their efforts to teach every topic of the prescribed syllabus. Though we are given with home works, assignment and project works with ironically without holidays. However, it is good for the long term future of the students.

The best college in Coimbatore any one can dream of.
Placements: The placements in our college are actually good. I haven't opted for placement, but my seniors have got placed in many good companies with good salary packages, and their lifestyle has completely changed since then. The placement opportunities are very good for people in computer stream compared to mechanical stream.
Infrastructure: The campus infrastructure is really good. The campus is surrounded by trees and is filled with lush greenery all around. The college management is also doing a great job by maintaining the college in a clean manner. The food served in the canteen is good. The college has many hotels in the neighborhood so provides us with an access everything thing.
Faculty: The faculty of our college are very helpful, they are always ready to spare time for us so that we can do well in academics. Mostly, all the staffs in my department are very experienced and that helps us to learn many things from their experience and field works. The course curriculum is also good.

PSG College of Technology from a student's perspective
Placements: Placements of the civil engineering department in PSG College of Technology are good with many core industries in civil engineering like L&T, Shapoorji Pallonji, Shobha Developers, etc visiting the campus and recruiting students. Even non-civil companies like TCS, IBM, CTS and Infosys recruited students from the civil department. The placement cell ensured that students were trained for placement by conducting classes on aptitude. The college didn't disclose data related to stipends so as such it can't be mentioned but it was definitely on par with industry standards.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of PSG College is very good with proper lab facilities for civil students so that they can learn and practice while their course of study. The classrooms are equipped with proper teaching aids and even the library has a good collection of latest books on a wide range of civil engineering subjects so that students can enrich their learning. The computer labs in college have high-speed Internet access.
Faculty: Faculty members of the civil engineering department are very knowledgeable in their subject. Most of them have published journals and participated in conferences. These help students to get the maximum knowledge from teachers. The course curriculum is updated once in 4 years and this ensures students get the updated learning on the subject and they are industry-ready.

Other: Pros: Good college, infrastructure is fantastic. Industrial visits were informative. College life was awesome with good professors. Hostels were hygienic. Good playgrounds, faculties were friendly. Cons: fee structure could be revised. Location of the college is nice. City's climate was awesome. Lots of exposure to construction sites. Had a great time in the college, cultural programmes were breathtaking. Enjoyed college life to the core.

Absolutely dissatisfied.
Placements: Placement was to bad. Not satisfied with advertisement they said about placement at the beginning. Only when the student have a CGPA of 8 and with no arrears history can attend the core companies. If not they are treated as not eligible to attend the interview itself.
Infrastructure: Hostel facility are good, food was average. They are far beyond in new technology available. No Wi-Fi connection in the campus and hostel. Medical facilities are available at PSG free clinic with minimum charges. LIBRARY was the only good thing that available in the campus. GRD library is the second the largest library in india.
Faculty: Very bad regarding the faculty. The worst teaching. Old staffs with very high experience but they won't respect students, they won't show equality in students. Grading also done by partiality only. If you put kumastha for the teacher you will pass easily. Even though you write your exams well, if you have bad name with staff you will get average marks only.

PSG College of Technology is a private engineering college and hence some seats will be vacant for direct admission too. Candidates can take admission through entrance exam by securing a qualifying score in TNEA entrance exam. For direct admission, candidates should have completed the intermediate.

Your score is not bad but it is difficult to get a seat for BE civil at PSG-Coimbatore. So, you may try for other colleges.
