MBA admission at PSG Institute of Management is entrance-based. The institute accepts the exam scores of various national-level entrance exams to shortlist candidates for GD and PI rounds. CAT is one of the accepted entrance exams. But a candidate can get admission without having a valid CAT score. In that case, candidates must have a valid score in MAT/ATMA/TANCET. PSG Institute of Management offers number of MBA programmes. The flagship programme of the institute is the MBA programme offered in affiliation to Anna University. The programme is offered for a duration of 2 years in Full-time mode. Candidates who have a bachelor’s degree with 60% marks in aggregate in any discipline are eligible to apply for the programme. Candidates who are in final year of graduation can also apply, such students will be offered provisional admission which is subjected to the completion of their graduation. Candidates must appear for CAT  / MAT  / ATMA  / TANCET 

Selection Process: Selection to the programme is based on academic performance in the Under Graduate Degree and scores obtained in the entrance test. The final selection will be based on Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates with work experience will have an added advantage.

Specializations offered: Finance, Human Resource, Marketing and Decision Science & Analytics

Students can choose a max. of 8 elective course from 67 available electives from disciplines of Finance, Human Resource, Marketing and Decision Science & Analytics. Specialization can be one elective, dual electives or a combination of multiple disciplines of interest is possible. 

Selection to MBA is done on the basis of merit obtained in MAT (Management Aptitude Test)

Candidates applying for the 2-year MBA full-time course need to have a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university

Final selection for all courses offered by PSG Institute of Management is based on Group Discussion and Personal Interview round.

Work experience is highly recommended for the MBA Part-time and PGDM course.

Anna University exam dates change every year. In the past two exam sessions, Anna University has been conducting the TANCET exam in March for MBA and MCA courses. Anna University maintained the exam schedule in line with the previous session. The complete schedule, including answer key release and result dates, was announced in due course.

Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai, the conducting body of TANCET Counselling conducts the process online. The TANCET counseling process involves several steps with a physical document verification round. Step-wise process for TANCET counseling is as follows:

A student can enroll to the institute through CAT, but it is not a criteria by virtue of which is extremely not mandatory for admission. If a person wants to go through this, he/she must have appeared and excelled with the stipulated cut off in either of the exams which are MAT, CAT, TANCET and ATMA.
