Our college provides good teaching, placements and infrastructure facilities.
Placements: Raffles is a great place in terms of design teaching, conceptualization and originality. For internships, it provides a list of design companies that have hired students from Raffles in the past, which becomes an advantage for current students. Presently in this pandemic, every interior design student has managed to secure a suitable position in a reputable firm.
Infrastructure: Currently, Raffles is situated on the ground floor of WeWork, providing all the facilities like a coffee vending machine, Wi-Fi, centralised air-conditioning and miscellaneous things as basic stationery. It maintains a clean, healthy and pest-free environment. It does not provide hostel facilities.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are knowledgeable, helpful, optimistic, hardworking, bold, punctual, understanding, etc. Raffles hire the best faculty members who help students in learning the facts of everything appropriately. Our college trains students for the future design world.
Placements: Due to the pandemic, it has been difficult to get a placement but the college has been supportive about getting work from home. There has been a list of companies that the college has provided us with. This helps us getting in touch with firms to get an internship.
Infrastructure: The quality of the facilities provided is pretty good. There are facilities like a PC lab, good Wi-Fi, drafting boards, workshops for product design, and we also had the equipment required while dealing with physical models. There is safety ensured at all times. The college is also a very clean and hygienic place to be in.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are knowledgeable and they provide a good insight into the practical world as well. There are a number of visiting faculty members that help students to interact with different teachers and receive different opinions and perspectives when it comes to designing.
Other: The good part about the course is the amount of software training we are given in a period of 2 years. However, it does not have any sort of extracurricular activities or events which they hopefully work on in the coming years.
