RIT's Yatra 2025: A Celebration of Culture and Talent

March 27, 2025: Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology's two-day annual cultural festival, Yatra 2025, was successfully conducted on March 21-22.

The event kicked off when it inaugurated on gleaming note followed by two days of extravagant ceremonies and performances from classical to contemporary dance, music and theatrical act.National award-winning actor Vijay Sethupathi was the star guest of the event. The words of encouragement inspired each student to chase their dreams, and added a little something special and meaningful to the affair.

The programme was presided over by Dr Haree Shankar Meganathan, Vice Chairman, Rajalakshmi Institutions. Yatra 2025 marked the end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter, as the curtains fell on a spectacular celebration of culture and talent, but the memories would live on in the hearts of participants and attendees alike.

Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology Signs MoU with Swadeshi Shodh Sansthan

March 6, 2025: Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology (RIT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Swadeshi Shodh Sansthan (SSS) to strengthen indigenous research collaboration and innovation. The MoU was signed by Dr. Haree Shankar Meganathan, Vice-Chairman of Rajalakshmi Institutions, and Ms. Mythili Parthasarathy, Tamil Nadu Chapter Head of Swadeshi Shodh Sansthan. The event was made eventful by the presence of Dr. N. Subramanian Neelakantan, Executive Director of SETS. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Haree Shankar Meganathan said, "The time is ripe for Indian youth to look at tech self-sustenance by focusing on product innovation and developing solutions tailored to India’s needs, ensuring economic independence, job creation, and leadership in cutting-edge product development."

Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology Earns Prestigious 4-Star Rating from the Ministry of Education

February 5, 2025: Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology, Chennai, is proud to announce that it has been awarded a prestigious 4-star rating by the Ministry of Education (MoE). Out of 14,725 participating institutes across the country, only 5,455 institutes earned a star rating. In the Southern Region, which includes Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, only 81 out of 907 institutes received the 4-star rating, and Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology is honored to be part of that elite group. This remarkable achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of the entire RIT family, including the leadership, faculty, IIC Head, and department IIC coordinators.

December 22, 2023: Team Neuronauts from RIT's computer engineering department took first place in the national Smart India Hackathon 2023 for their AI-powered cognitive retraining solutions. They received a prize of Rs. 1 lakh for their innovative work. Evidence of their exceptional proficiency and dedication to cutting-edge technology. "Winners of SIH for developing AI-based solutions for Cognitive Retraining" is how they have been named.

RIT to Organise National Conference on Artificial Intelligence

March 3, 2020: On March 20 and 21, Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology - RIT, Chennai, will be hosting a national conference on Artificial Intelligence-Opportunities and Challenges. In the area of Artificial Intelligence, AI2020 will serve as a platform for presenting new technologies moving forward and research results. Leading researchers, engineers and scientists across the world have been invited for the two-day event. The meeting will include keynote speeches, contributed papers, various workshops and tutorials. The aim of this conference is to create awareness and encourage the use of artificial intelligence. There will be discussions around the benefits of AI and software to use these high-performance systems.

Indian Scientist and Father of BRAHMOS, a joint venture between India and Russia to design, develop, produce and market the supersonic cruise missile BrahMos, has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest and inaugurate the conference. Dr A Sivathanu Pillai currently serves as a Professor at Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Delhi) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and a Visiting Professor at Indian Institute of Science (IISc).

Good placement count and packages in 2025.

Placements: Based on last year, more than 95 percent were placed and the package was also really good, like 55 LPA and all. Many top companies do come here, including Hexaware and many more. Many students have done many internships. Mostly the placements are from software companies.

Reality of Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology.

Placements: Almost 90 percent of students were placed in our college. The highest package is 54 LPA, and the lowest is 7 to 8 LPA. Amazon, Google, Wipro, and Microsoft recruit. 5 to 10 percent of students got internships in IIT Kharagpur, and some of them got internships in the Motherson company at a stipend amount of Rs. 23,000 per month. I personally suggest cloud computing.

The impact of years of my life.

Placements: In my department, 90 percent of students get placed, and 100 percent of students got internships in various companies. The average package offered in placements ranges from 6-7 LPA. The highest package offered is 24, and the lowest package offered is 3 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, IBM, Accenture, and Zoho recruit students.

Absolute satisfied my 4years journey .

Placements: Nearly 75 percentage of students were placed in my batch and the lowest is 3lpa and the highest is 24lpa and on average 6lpa were placed Accenture ibm cognizant were the top companies student were placed Nearly 100 percent of the student were attended internships in every high standards company .

Placements: 75 percent of students were placed in my course. The highest is 23 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is 6 LPA. Amazon, Accenture, Zoho, and Elcomponics had 100 percent of students get internships from various companies in software development, engineer technical associate.

I made a good decision on joining this college because of the great exposure I received.

Placements: The placements were excellent. My batch almost received many offers from top MNCs. The highest package is around 25 LPA, the lowest package is 3 LPA, and the average is around 6 LPA. Top companies like Amazon, Meta, Accenture, Infosys, HCL, and other top MNCs came to hire students, and all of them are related to my specialization. Nearly all of my batch (2025) gets internships from my course.
