Our college is good in academics with well-qualified faculty and good placements every year.
Placements: About 60-70% of the students get placed every year. The average salary package offered is 4.5 LPA, and the highest salary package offered ranges from 7-8 LPA. The lowest salary package offered ranges from 3-4 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Infosys, eInfochips, Amazon, Vedantu, Byju's, etc., visit our college for placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities in our department are better. The availability of labs, classrooms and a library is in a proper way for every particular subject. Particular labs are available, and there is not like 2 or 3 practicals are going in one lab at the same period of time. Quality and quantity of the food are served to the students in the proper environment. Good medical facilities are available. A variety of sports and games are also available here.
Faculty: Teaching staff members are good. They clear all our doubts at any time. They are always ready to help us. They are qualified, and the quality of teaching staff members teach us. They give their best to understands us properly, and they explain every single point. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready.

Good college but need to do some changes.
Placements: Internship was not allowed if you have to do internship than you have to take special permission from the college. Placement of 35% students was done but with average salary of 3 LPA. Many students were only placed in BPO companies rather than in technical companies.
Infrastructure: Campus to be rated as 7/10. Infrastructure was good with new technology but there were some old PC's. Library is very big with a large variety of books to read. Wi-Fi facility was available in the campus but with limited data. Cleanliness and disciplined was maintained in the college.
Faculty: Teaching and non-teaching staff was good and supportive. But IT department teachers were teaching outdated course, they need to change the method of teaching which will give the latest information of technology to the students. Industrial visits were needed to be taken.

Dissatisfied because of faculty and way poor placements in 2019.
Placements: 1. 30% of students were placed 2. The highest salary is 40k and the lowest was 15k 3. None of the top company visited 4. Associate Software Engineer was the top role offered. 5. Package ranges from 1.8 LPA to 4.5 LPA 6. No internship was allowed, the student has to take special permission from the principal and T&P for an internship, this is the biggest drawback of the organisation.
Infrastructure: 1. Classrooms are clean, the library is clean and has a big reading room, labs are not that advanced as it should be. 2. Boys hostel was not that good enough, the quality of food was just bearable, no sports was promoted, students had to take their own initiative to organize sports activities no support from management and faculty members.
Faculty: 1. Teachers in this institute are not technically sound and have zero knowledge of how the industry works, never ever worked in any organisation, not aware of the trends in IT. 2. The course curriculum is outdated, needs to improve or add new subjects that actually matter to a student so that they can easily grasp new technology.
Other: 1. I chose this course because I always wanted to get into IT and was interested in learning new technology. 2. Need to update complete curriculum, add such things so that student can easily understand the recent trends and try to organize a few interactive workshops by industry experts so that students can get an idea how to work and get things done.

It is an average college because teachers lack Knowledge, but the infrastructure is quite good.
Placements: Placements in our college were very low as compared to other colleges in Nagpur. The highest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 1 LPA. Mostly BPOs visited the campus for recruitment. Students should learn C and Java programming languages. In our course, the salary package offered ranges between 1.5 LPA to 2.5 LPA. Students search outside for their internships in 7th semester.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college was good. A water cooler was provided, and Wi-Fi service was also available. The library on the campus was good. Hostel facilities were average as rooms are very small and they try to put at least 3students in a small room. The mess was average as compared to other messes, and the college canteen was also average, and it charges high prices. Sports are held during annual fest like our college has annual fest named Malhar.
Faculty: Some teachers in our college were knowledgeable, but most of them didn't sound like they know the subject very well. Teachers are young without experience, and because of this they don't know exactly about the subject, but they try hard to teach. The course curriculum is relevant, and in IT department subjects like C, C+, Java, and data structure are very important subjects for the industry. We know all the industry requirements in IT.
Other: I opted for the course because of my interest in the technical domain, and IT branch was the best option for me. Courses like programming languages are best to make the base for the industry. University has to improve the IT Branch with more technical subjects like Linux, Python, etc. C and C+ is an outdated course, in my opinion. The annual fest "Malhar" is held for 3-4 days, and there are a lot of activities like dance, drama, singing, standup comedy, etc., held on campus.

College is good, but they need to change their policies and also replace some faculty members.
Placements: Placements were conducted in our college, but not much good. Mostly, the only consultancy conducts placement drive. But technical or core companies don't visit the campus for the placements. About 30% of the students got placed every year from our college.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility was available on our campus. Labs are not quite good, and all PCs are old, and many systems were not even started. There was a quite good medical facility on the campus, and also ambulance available. Classrooms were huge with good benches. Food available in the canteen was good, but prices are litter high. Hostels were not great always.
Faculty: Teachers are less. They were lack of knowledge, but some teachers were good. Some teachers have good teaching skills, and they also use projectors for teaching. Many teachers just come to the class to teach some something and then left without conducting any doubt session. They also don't help the students when they have any problem regarding subjects.
Other: There is an event called Malhar, and also every year techfest was organised, and it was good.

Overall, it is a good college but doesn't offer great placements.
Placements: Placements in the college were not that good but being a sister college of YCCE, the college does attract some good companies. The average salary package offered was around 2 LPA and the highest salary package offered was 3.2 LPA. Internships were not provided by the college. There was a full-time devoted placement cell working hard to bring good companies on board for students.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi connectivity provided in the college was good. The library has a vast collection of books related to academics and other topics. Medical facilities are up to the mark. Provisions for sports like volleyball, basketball, cricket and badminton were available in the college. The canteen was good but not great. Good hostel facilities were provided to outstation students.
Faculty: Faculty members in the college were good. Most of them were pursuing PhD. They all were very helpful as far as the curriculum is considered. They also supported us in other aspects. Presentations, practicals etc., were used to teach. Guest lectures were conducted to know about the current industry trends. We went on an industrial visit to Infocepts, Nagpur.

Review of Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering & Research.
Placements: The college provides very poor placements. Most of the students in our college are getting placed in BPO's. Hardly any technical companies are visiting for campus drive. RGCER has the worst placement scene in Nagpur. Students of 2018 passed out did not get a job until now, and our college boosts their image by fake advertising as they place the highest number of students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very poor. Washrooms are not cleaned properly, and drinking water quality is very poor. Overall, all the basic amenities are in very bad condition. There are 7 departments cramped in one building. Classrooms are hardly clean, and there is dust laying around everywhere. Hygiene is not maintained.
Faculty: Faculty members do not have a clue about how to teach students properly. Most of the faculty members have very little knowledge about the respected subject. The principal is hardly available for students. Whenever someone wants to meet the principal, they will say either principal in is meeting or busy with some other issue.

I'm utterly disappointed in my college.
Placements: Placements in my college are average. Hardly any students got placed. My college conducts seminars for aptitude, quants and language. The faculty that conducts the seminars are professionals with a good background of the said subjects. My college tends to fool people by false advertisement, they said that the highest package provided to a student was more than 10 lacs per annum but the reality the highest package that a student got was 3.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: There are 7 departments in my college cramped in a single building. During admission the administration told us that college is providing a good supply of amenities for students during there tenure. Reality is that labs are hardly cleaned or moped. Half of the systems are working. The college has a very bad internet connectivity, we need to use our own mobile data during practical. The canteen in my college is in very poor condition. They do not follow any hygiene whenever I ate over there I was taken ill which made me to miss my lectures. Classroom are never clean there is dust laying around, very poor infrastructure during lectures students suffocate as there is no proper ventilation system for free passing of fresh air.
Faculty: Faculty members job is to teach students, clear their doubts and help them if any problem arises related to the subject. Rather than doing that, faculty in my college just make us write the data related to the topics without any prior explanation of that domain. Many of the faculty are inexperienced related to that subject, they are confused during lectures and cannot explain the topics properly.
